About this listen
Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they’ve fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it’s time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She’s having visions of a vampire named Gregor, who’s more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn’t know about.
Gregor believes Cat is his and won’t stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor’s hold over her. She’ll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she’s ever faced … even if getting that power will result in an early grave.

Where does Destined for an Early Grave rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This series by J.Frost has kept me awake to 1am each morning hoping to get to the end of each book. It is so bad I sometimes resort to listening to the last chapter so I can get to sleep and then listen to the rest of the book later.Insomnia

The character building in this series is brilliant, with each book you become more attached to your favourite characters as more of their personalities imerge. The personal growth seen between bones and Kat and the depth of the characters emotions and inner relationships is apparent.
Plus way more Vlad in this book!
It took me a little while to get into the first book in the series, mainly because is written in first person perspective which I wasn't used to. However I'm now in love!
The narration is incredible! every character has a different voice and the amount of emotion and passion the narrator uses really helps create the scene. Best audible narrator I've listened to, and I've listened to a lot of books
captivating
