Nachdem seine WG dort vom Gesundheitsamt geschlossen wurde, das Zimmer bei seinen Eltern zum Fernseherreparieren benötigt wird und er nach kühnem Ausbruch aus dem Wehrdienst noch keinen Plan hat, fährt er erst mal nach Berlin, zu seinem großen Bruder Manni, der dort als Künstler lebt und eine große Nummer ist. Dachte er. Doch Manni ist weg. Weder sein Vermieter Erwin Kächele noch dessen Nichte Chrissie oder sein Mitbewohner Karl haben eine Ahnung, wo Manni steckt. Außerdem nennen sie ihn nicht Manni, sondern Freddie. Und haben sofort eine konkrete Idee davon, was Frank zu tun hat: Anstelle seines Bruders an einem kurzfristig anberaumten Krisenplenum teilnehmen.
