Jedes Jahr im August findet in Blaye am Ufer der Gironde ein Theaterfestival statt, eingebettet in einen Mittelaltermarkt, auf dem Gaukler, Scharlatane und Magier ihren Geschäften nachgehen. Kurz vor einer Aufführung verschwindet die bekannte Schauspielerin Nora Delavigne, und nur wenig später auch eine deutsche Touristin.
