"Delitto e castigo", il romanzo più famoso di Dostoevskij e uno dei capolavori della letteratura mondiale, narra le vicende del giovane Raskolnikov, sullo sfondo cupo e claustrofobico di una Pietroburgo degradata che diviene l'immagine esterna della desolazione interiore che abita i personaggi.

Raskolnikov divide il mondo in due categorie di uomini: da una parte gli "uomini superiori" che possono stare al di là di ogni valore costituito, e dall'altra gli uomini ordinari. Lui, appartenendo alla seconda, compie un gesto estremo per dimostrare al mondo di essere un "uomo superiore", salvo poi subire le terribili conseguenze del suo gesto e accettare la sofferenza (il castigo) che ne deriva.

Nel romanzo sono tre i filoni narrativi che si intrecciano: (la vita di Raskolnikov, le vicende dei Marmeladov e le vicende sentimentali di Dunja, sorella del protagonista) e che vanno a comporre il primo grande romanzo polifonico di Dostoevskij.

un capolavoro

ho sempre considerato questi grandi classici dei mattonazzi... come mi sbagliavo! questa storia è fantastica, lo stile dell'autore è impareggiabile, e 23 ore di lettura son passate in un attimo, tanto che mi spiace che sia già finito.
pieno di spunti e riflessioni filosofiche e psicologiche, un vero capolavoro.
e letto davvero bene. consigliato vivamente.
