Publisher's Summary

Ollie:

Word of advice: Don't come out to random guys in public restrooms. Even if they're charming and adorably nerdy and offer to help.

My family believes I can't be happy if I'm not out to the world. I have a bitter ex-boyfriend and an unstable NHL career to show for it. A fake boyfriend seems like an easy and quick solution to get my family off my back, and this guy is volunteering. I take him up on it without asking his name.

I really should've asked for his name.

Lennon:

Word of advice: Learn how to introduce yourself properly. In my defense, I don't recognize Ollie Strömberg right away. I cover football, not hockey. I'm not supposed to see him again, and he's never supposed to find out I'm a reporter. That all changes when my editor reassigns me.

It's a lesson I should've learned by now. Nothing's changed since high school. Jocks still hate nerds. But even worse, athletes hate journalists. Especially ones who know their secret.

Contains mature themes.

Love this series!

I can't wait for the complete series to be on audio. I have read them all multiple times but I really enjoy the narration, it really brings it to life.

Great stories with perfect one liners, witty comments and lovable characters.

Thank you for your stories. xx

great story

I love this book and have read it so many times so couldn't wait to hear the audio and I wasn't disappointed. It took a while like always to warm up to the voice actors but once I did it was all smooth sailing.

IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!!!!

I adore this series and with every book added to the series i just keep falling more and more in love with it. Eden Finley has created such a fun and caring dynamic between all the characters, it makes me envy them. Ollie and Lennon's story is just as incredible as the first two couples. their dialogue is amazing with so many moments making me laugh. this i one of my all time favorite audiobook series, Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese both did an incredible job at making each character come alive. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a heartwarming LGBTQ+ Romance.

Fake relationship and fake identity for the win!

When Clark hears closeted pro ice hockey player Ollie Strömberg out himself in a public toilet, he isn’t expecting Ollie to ask him to be part of a fake relationship to get Ollie’s well-meaning family off his back. The relationship isn’t the only thing that’s fake, so is Clark’s identity. He’s actually the sports journalist whose critical articles have made Ollie’s life hell. The fake relationship trope is often thin on excuse and this is one of the thinnest, but it didn’t diminish my enjoyment of this story one bit! I absolutely loved Lennon, Ollie, and his large and loud family. Like the rest of this series, there was a lot of fun while exploring the serious topic of homophobia and coming out in professional team sports. Audio superstars Alexander Cendese (as Ollie) and Iggy Toma (as Lennon) hit the net every time with their superb performances!

Absolutely amazing.

In Lennons words “Sweet Neil Patrick Harris in a harness.” “Care to explain?” “Sometimes fuck doesn’t cover it.” This story was soo amazing I’ve loved the world building from book one ans how old characters still come in and have their time too. Can’t wait to continue this series best series I’ve read.

Laugh out loud

I loved this book in the series, and enjoyed the interactions of the characters we have previously met and the exploration of Ollie and Lennon- the humour is a captivating part of their love story.

Ollie and Lennon are too cute!

Deke is book three in the Fake Boyfriends series

Lennon is the charming, nerdy journalist. Ollie is the hockey player with ex boyfriend troubles and the NHL career on the line if his secret gets out.

Ollie meets Lennon in a bathroom and is roped in to be his fake boyfriend at a family dinner.
Ollie’s family is full on. Built like Norse gods and act like bulls in a China shop.

I love how Lennon is written. His inner monologue as such. His lines are fantastic! ‘Do penguins have nipples’ 😂

Lennon and Ollie are too cute. A great mixture of sarcasm, cute fluff and a little spice.
