Publisher's Summary

They called me trash. They called me whore. They called me so much worse.

They told me I didn’t belong in their world, and you know what? Maybe they were right. But I can’t just let this go. I’m still a Hildebrand, after all, and I’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of what that legacy means. There are secrets buried in Roseland, and I’m determined to dig them up. To make the princes pay for what they did.

Trying to exact vengeance from hundreds of miles away isn’t easy, though, until a mysterious ally offers help that could change everything.

At least someone is on my side in all of this.

I just have no idea who it is.

Please note: Defiant Princess is a reverse harem, high school bully romance, the second book in the Boys of Oak Park Prep trilogy. It contains cursing and sexual situations.

surface plot no depth get Burberry prep

if you're thinking about this book go get Burberry if you still want to afterwards you were warned its not good regardless of anything it's not good let's just talk about the book itself first this is a very surface story there is no depth to the characters at all I couldn't tell the guys apart. the female main character I can't even tell you that she's likable she's not memorable. It's just bad writing and then to top it all off all the story points are straight out of Burberry and if you're going to take another author's work why would you take from one of such caliber in the Indy Community those Burberry books are amazing there's fantastic story and fantastic characters the characters are so well-written there's so much depth there so much story it's funny it's moving its emotional it's crazy secret society and this is just like taking that and rewriting it as bad fanfic that's all just surface-level and just changing a few things which I've learned is Mosaic plagiarism and if you look it up it is a thing. the audio books also huge difference Burberry has amazing duet narration with a female and a male throughout the whole thing and this is just a female doing mail voices I mean it is what it is it's not great narration it's not the worst I've heard but I mean she doesn't sound like a guy for the boys parts and I had to speed up the book it made the voice better all around I had to force myself to finish it and I wanted to keep reading to compare because yeah the series starts to get a little different but that's like way later you can't say oh the second book is different yeah sure the second book but it's still stealing the main ideas and then changing it and yes bully romance has a standard formal this is completely different situation I'm not giving this a one-star just because of the plagiarism accusations and controversy I went into this getting this book on audio because it's no longer available in book format and I'm an audiobook fan. I wanted to see for myself and this is total Mosaic plagiarism. we don't know the whole story only what we can get from what one author who is playing the victim is saying by saying that she's being bullied and the other author who writes in her books through characters about what happened and the Mosaic plagiarism and I think there's way more to to the story then just two authors having similar ideas I mean this book had way too many of the same ideas but like I said before it was poorly executed it was literally a Surface Book. this author brings up this controversy constantly every time the other author realizes a new book plays victim and takes the other authors work out of context where she's trying to express situation subtly through characters a lot of authors write that kind of stuff into their books and it's fiction so she suddenly talks about the plagiarism and the friendship and betrayal and then that's it she doesn't talk about it ever on pages and leaves it at that and let that go into the art in this author is bullying the other author by saying that she's bullying her it's ridiculous but the other author is keeping quiet other than what she writes in her art and that is completely subjective so that's why I wanted to read this series it took me so long to read the series in the first place because I read another series by this author and I did not finish it the help again the book was really surface-level I've never had an RH that I wanted to mf before until I read that other book by this author because the other characters were not develop just like in this one I seriously tried to come in here unbiased I wanted to get both sides and I paid with my credits force myself to the third book and then I just could not finish I couldn't do it to myself even at hyperspeed.

Addictive.

The second book in this trilogy is even better than the first. I love the characters and the way that the narrator brings them to life. These royals are going down, but not in a way they expect. There are twists and turns, but also love and that is the important thing,

Is there hope in vengeance?

After the bombshell cliffhanger in book one, I was left wondering how the series could have a happy ending. With the help of an unexpected party, Talia is back at Oak Park Prep with vengeance on her mind and uncertainty in her heart. As she digs for dirt, she has a series of encounters with key players before tragedy strikes again. I had forgotten this book also ends with a brutal cliffhanger, but know the next book will be all the better for it.

Boys of Oak Park Prep Book Two

Boys of Oak Park Prep Book Two. Talia is on the outside of the school again, after The Princes enacted their revenge. She's been disowned, sent back to Idaho and put into foster care. However, a lawyer sent by a mysterious backer comes to her rescue. The lawyer frees up some of an inheritance left by Talia's mother, but the judge in charge of the trust sets one requirement - Talia must return to Oak Park Prep and graduate to gain access to the money. Now Talia is back, but even her former friends are no longer speaking to her. Considering her plans for vengeance, Talia puts everything else aside and gathers what she needs to take down The Princes. If you're looking for a book with high school drama, past secrets and a ruthless desire for revenge, this is the book for you! Beware-there is a cliffhanger, so you will want to have the third book ready to go. 🎧AudiobookObsession

What a rollercoaster!

I love this story, both written and to listen to. Kasi has such am amazing voice and you imagine her as Tahlia. Even her Male.voices, you can tell whose talking. This story is gripping. Tahlia is back and there is tension amongst the Princes as they are not all happy about the way things turned with Tahlia. Tahlia having learned from the best, is out for revenge. Did not want to stop listening! any excuse to pop my headphones on and get back to Oak Prep.

Read in order, preferably with book 3 available

This is not a stand alone novel. You have to have read/listened to book one, and you will want to continue to book 3. There are many unanswered questions. I had mixed feelings about the first book and preferred this one. It was more about personal growth and less about relationships. I liked that early in the book, Talia wonders who holding on to anger hurts the most. For the series in general, I would have liked to see more positive ways to deal with bullying that don't involve more bullying. Overall, the narration was great and I liked the story much more than the first book. #AudiobookObsession

The tiny dancer and her four loyal horsemen

Defiant Princess is book 2 in the Boys of Oak Park Prep and it is written by Callie Rose. This one picks up a few months after book where Talia has returned home after the Princes and her grandmother’s ultimate betrayal. I was so happy she returned to school, but I kept wondering who the mysterious benefactor would be and it appears we have to wait until book 3 to get that answer. Much like book 1, book 2 ends in an epic cliffhanger and I couldn’t decide whether to scream, pout, cry or throw my phone down in frustration. I’m telling you Callie Rose knows how to write a cliffhanger. The narration by Kasi Hollowell is 5 stars of utter perfection. Every character has a distinct voice and each one of them are exactly how I would imagine. This is a must-read and the whole series continues to be one of my favorite reads of 2019. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

Holy Crap!!!

Talia is returned to Idaho after leaving Oak Park Prep after the Royals completely blindside her at the awards ceremony. She is devastated, but determined to get back at them and her grandmother somehow. She is visited by a lawyer, who informs her that she has an inheritance left by her mother. They go to court to emancipate her, the judge rules she has to return to school, at Oak Park. When she returns, she begins a campaign to pay the royals back. She tells them that anything anyone, the royals OR their minions, do to her, she will do to one of them. She follows through, all the while she is researching the Royals... just the way they taught her to research others. She has ammunition against all of them, in a notebook and on a flash drive. Many, many things happen! But they, once again, gain her trust... and she gains theirs. They become friends again, and they go with her to buy a car. Then, someone peppers them campus with her research. It wasn’t her... and she tells them this. Do they believe her?? Or... are they responsible for what happens to her at the end of this book??? What a great listen this is!!! Callie Rose is fantastic!!! And Kasi Hollowell is perfect for these voices!!!
