About this listen

Years of struggle have left Zecia weakened in their war against the Kan'Tanu Cult.

Negotiating for peace is not an option when the System is in control. It can only be purchased through blood and steel. No one is spared from the winds of war.

Zac and his elite armies have been forced to the frontlines just as opportunity strikes. An ancient war fortress has risen from the dimensional depths.

Built by the Limitless Empire, it holds power and secrets far beyond what's seen on the desolate frontiers. Seizing it could be the key to changing the winds of war. Zac finds himself in the heart of the struggle.

No matter what, he won't let it fall into the Kan'Tanu's hands.

This book was fantastic. I can't believe this is the 14th book and this is the book that has somehow peaked my excitement for the next entry. Unreal

Don't think I've been this excited

love the main character and how powerful he is

hate the slow parts where he is unlocking new levels of his many powers.

many of those chapters could be skipped entirely and you don't miss a single second of actual storey telling.

more fighting and adventure please. less "and this is the 2 chapters describing how hard it always is for me to level up my abilities".

epic world building and development

After re listening a lot happens in this story. There was a glimpse of some old characters that I’d like to see more of the authors showing us just enough to know not to count them out of the story.
If you pay close attention you’ll enjoy this story a lot more

Love how he makes his abilities work so well.
I disliked how often the book had Zach working on his core. the whole thing with the tribulation throne, then again with his core development, took a very long time. I understand these books are about this exact thing, I just feel that this time around, it was a bit overdone.

Zach's awesome abilities. and the lengthy core development sessions

i was really disappointed with the last book as it felt hollow for me. too much exposition with not enough progression in the story. i said back then that i won't read the next one anymore as i no longer enjoy it but i gave it a chance because i really loved the books before and was hoping things got better on 14. i was unfortunately disappointed. pavi's performance was great as always but i no longer find joy in reading this. the story just feels empty now. goodbye old friend, it was fun while it lasted.

breaks my heart

I do enjoy the series but it is getting quite convoluted to follow. While I am still invested in some of the characters,
there is so many I often forget who someone is until halfway through the conversation.

Interesting but a bit dull

I like the idea of a really long series, however this series lacks so much balance it gets overwhelming with the amount of characters, places, locations, factions and even system crap that if it isn't mentioned each book you can easily forget and have to try remember, not to mention if your up to date on audio it's like 4 months+ wait till the next book. This book moved the story along but not by much, it feels like the author is dragging it out for whatever reason. it's kinda pathetic when you realise he hasn't progressed much in power and at this rate he'll need to be the strongest to fight the top factions. let's look forward to that in book 40+

Honestly this series will never end at this rate

endless exposition, whole chapters mentioning hegemony, mid hegemony, body tempering on loop. its actually triggering. id happily pay for a book that is half the length but has actual dialogue taking place atleast once every chapter.

so basically zero story
