Against mighty odds, Bob simply and eloquently shows us a way to be empowered, not lost. To remember and imbibe the most important lesson of humanity which seems easily forgotten or purposefully cast aside - the earth is our home and we need to protect it. We are a long way down a dark one way street. Recognition and action is needed to slow and reverse big business behemoths who decimate our futures. I have faith in new technologies - let coal, gas, oil and old growth forests be. He walks us through some amazing personal experience. Thanks Bob, from the fullness of my heart. I’m with you.

Brilliantly told story of environmental war hero. Revealing, Illuminating and sad at once, my fear is that this will only be read mostly by nature lovers, rather than the greedy politicians, corporates and ignorant hordes we need to challenge to walk in these places and not be moved. I hope for too much. Brown's knowledge, willpower and action have made a huge difference. I recently hiked in Tasmania, and feel privileged to have been able to walk in such stunning, preserved lands. Also, I like his many references to the original custodians of these special places. An Environmentalist and Humanitarian, to whom I thank for this and all his efforts.
