wow, she's done it again. the heroes are the same species, the heroines are the same species and the enemies are still the same species.
however, the character of each is wonderfully different...thanks to Ms Carvan.
I love this new plotline it's wonderfully different and rubs shoulders with none other than the humans. so serves the baddies right. it's almost a wannabe parallel to what is evolving in today's age.
old characters from past series/books come in to the story which I love, hence why I read series.
Anna has written this dialogue between H and H in a quiet, steel like, tenderness... a crazy mish mash that works beautifully.
her writing description that comes to mind is simply the title. decadence!
near the end the plot twists and just smacks of earthly political intrigue.
this book is cool, Intense, strong, savage...beautifully put together. there's romance, slow burn, steam and a healthy dose of angst and action. even though you don't have to read them all, its a wonderful koo to hear previous characters.
just love the previous series and this spin off.
J F Harding is bloody awesome, his tone/inflections help create the mood and might I say, the the lines he rolls off as he becomes Ikriss is simply decadent.
just loving his narration can't wait for the next 2.
