A devious and suspenseful mystery
“Death Deserved” is a complicated, although entertaining, book worth every twist, turn and surprise {{{jaw-dropping moment}}}. Following an investigation into a missing person’s case, connected to a series of murders, authors Thomas Enger and Jorn Lier Horst do an outstanding job introducing us to interesting and nefarious characters along the way. Being a fan of talented narrator James Lailey, he once again proves his perfection of narration. One of my pet peeves: I wish more would read the book. Stop changing voice levels trying to imitate characters. It is quite distracting. Just READ the book. Tell the story and Lailey does just that to perfection. I can think of quite a few narrators who could learn from him. NOTE: A poor narrator can ruin a great audiobook. Highly recommended! Worth the $8.99 I paid. I never use a credit on audiobooks $10 and under. I pay for them. I save my treasured credits for higher priced books.

This isnt a great read but it holds the reader's interest. The small small clues are drizzled before us but leave room for surprises. It morphs into a low gore horror book. Good for a bitterly cold winter read :-)
