About this listen

It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are).

It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu. If he's going to have a chance, he'll need his wits, a little bit of luck, and lots of ammo.

Love the characters and how endearing they are with the situations they are put through. Jenny with her values to saving lives and Jeremiah and his witty perspectives through the challenges he goes through, despite the pain and brutally. Even The voice actor lends his talents very well to fleshing out Jeremiah and the lovable banter with his dog, Joe. This is a good audiobook that had me wanting to binge the whole book in 2 days. Would love if both the voice actor and the author come together again for the second instalment of this series.

Great Listen!

Plot keeps you on your through disaster after disaster.

At times I thought this sounded a lot like a video game and some of the dialogue was a touch corny but it always got itself back on track quickly. I will read more by this author. The protagonist is likeable enough and the supporting cast are pretty good too!

Pretty good
