About this listen

From the multi-million copy bestselling author comes a chilling tale about life flashing before your eyes—including terrifying scenes you don’t remember.

When Damon survives a near-drowning, his life flashes before his eyes. Every memory is crystal clear—except one. A dead boy. A face he can’t place. A moment he doesn’t remember living. At first he tells himself it’s a trick of the mind. But everything else he saw was real. So why not this?

With his waking life stalked by the disturbing scene, confusion quickly turns to obsession. Desperate for answers, Damon digs into his fractured past, and becomes convinced that the only way to remember…is to die again. And again. And again. When he meets a perfect stranger who’s all too willing to help, the stage is set for his dice with death.

But if this is what it takes to uncover the truth, maybe some memories are better left buried…

There is these weird spots that sound like re recordings with one particular voice actor. Like they are a different volume and almost sound like a different t person and it drove me nuts

Love the book but the recording drove me nuts

This is the second of Marrs books that took me a while to settle into, the intro was a little drawn out and an odd way to introduce the primary characters. Once engaged he connects a character from another title and blends her characters personality well. The last third of the book is typically twisty for Marrs and is what I enjoy most from his writing style.

Twisted

I quite enjoyed this book. Strange storyline but it worked. Excellent character arcs. Very well developed and entertaining. Another good John Marrs read.

A bit different

John Marrs really knows how to write an amazing psychological thriller. He is the literal King of them all. My mind was blown by the character connections from his previous works being in this novel and just how fantastic everything gets written. It’s a beautifully suspenseful ride, I didn’t want it to end 👌🏼

THE CHARACTER CONNECTIONS! 🤯♥️

It was pretty predictable in most places. Not his best book, but ok to read.
