Gerade war sie noch so lieb. Doch kurz vor ihrem 14. Geburtstag mutiert Papas kleine Prinzessin plötzlich zum bockigen Pubertier.
Der Journalist Hannes Wenger nimmt sich eine Auszeit, um seine Tochter Carla von Alkohol, Jungs und anderen Verlockungen fernzuhalten. Das ist aber leichter gesagt als getan, denn seine Frau Sara geht wieder arbeiten und Hannes ist maßlos überfordert. Ob Party, Zeltlager oder Carlas erstes Mal: Hannes tritt zielsicher in jedes Fettnäpfchen. Da ist es nur ein schwacher Trost, dass auch andere Jugendliche überforderte Väter haben: Hannes' bester Freund, der Kriegsreporter Holger, lässt sich lieber im Nahen Osten beschießen als sich daheim von seinem Pubertier in den Wahnsinn treiben zu lassen.
