People like Annabelle are called "ghosts", and they are valued for their ability to gather supplies. Narrator Dan Lawson provides a solid performance that doesn't lapse into excessive excitability as the story's action scenes unfold. He weaves in subplots involving the deposed President of the United States, a murderer, and a ruthless special forces colonel without overstating the intensity of the events as they build up to a shocking end.
