Publisher's Summary

Outside of Pakistan, the world's highest concentration of al-Qaeda lurks in Southeast Asia and there, Nick Stone's bosses get wind of an act of terror that will dwarf even the nightmare of 9/11.

When Stone is dispatched to Malaysia by the CIA to assassinate a biochemist, he expects his mission to be a straightforward part of the fight against Bin Laden. But there are complications, not least because he is working alongside an attractive woman whose motives he doesn't fully understand.

Target neutralized, Stone returns to the USA and a maelstrom of personal problems. Kelly, the 14-year-old orphan to whom he is joint guardian, cannot escape the ghosts of her traumatic past; she has a prescription drug habit that's spiralling out of control, and Stone knows he is the only one who can help her. He takes her to recuperate in England, but the terrible consequences of what happened in Penang are never far behind.

Realizing he cannot escape them, Stone unearths a doomsday threat against the populations of New York, London, and Berlin and finds himself facing an unspeakable trade-off: the life of someone he loves, against those of millions he doesn't even know...

Heart thumping

First half was a good story then it just gets more and more intense. Follow the Hi and Low of the on going story of Nick and Kelly as well as the gripping story.

Bloody and brutal

I am getting into these books now, but why Andy McNab always leaves a continuity error I don't know. This time "the sweat ran down his right glove and into his eyes" eventhough his hand wasn't near his face and he was wearing a full face mask! the detail is great and the action realistic, no one comes out unscathed. second book with baddie killed by blunt object in room. will keep going with these.

Ironman Nick

Top shelf stuff from Andy once again. It felt like it kept building and building but ended in a bit of an anti climax. Heart racing throughout!

Paul Thornley....

is simply the best narrator for any book. I love the Dan Sheppard series by Seven leather, had read or heard almost all of them but what really makes these books on audible is the great Paul Thornley. I can fault him he reads such a great story and i just love how he manages all the characters and allows for complete immersion into the story.. Top bloke! now I am hunting out other stories he has made for audible. Cant recommend him high enough.

The Best Yet

I’ve read many by this author but somehow missed this out of sequence, I went back to it just to. keep up to the numbers, but overall, I reckon it’s the best yet!
