Publisher's Summary

What drives the Man Without Fear? Matt Murdock was raised by a single father, an over-the-hill prizefighter with one last chance to make good - a chance that cost him his life. Taunted and tormented by other children, Matt's life was irrevocably altered after he was blinded by radioactive materials while saving the life of an old man. The payoff? An unbreakable will and a keen intelligence, helping focus the super-senses with which he was blessed during the accident. His story is one of love, pain, disappointment, and strength. In this brand-new adaptation, witness the strange machinations behind the life of one of Marvel's most beloved heroes.

Great cast and great performance

Picked this up for a long day of traveling, 6+ hours of flying. Enjoyed the story as much as the performance, the transitions between scenes and dialogue reallykept thd pace fast and entertaining. Excellent audio version of a comic.

Few gruesome scenes - but not overly dramatised.

Recommend highly for anyone who enjoys: comics, crime drama, plays, or audio books.

Enjoyable with alittle additions

The story is great and based off the Frank Miller comics with some additions to extend the story. I thought it was great but I doubt this fits in continuity. Loved it.

An instant classic for Mavel Comics

Daredevil: The Man Without Fear was a joy to listen to. Based off of the 1993 mega hit comic Daredevil: The Man Without Fear by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr. has given us many of back stories that we now think of when we think of the Daredevil, Matt Murdock. Paul Crilley does an excellent job describing the scene of the original artwork and masterful tells the unforgettable tale of Murdock's life story and where he got his start. You can fully imagine each detail of the story by the full cast of talented voice actors and musical score. I highly recommend this to anyone who is either a fan of Daredevil, of Marvel Comics, or anyone who is a comic book fan who is interested in hearing a great story.

Do not confuse this with a full cast audio drama

downloaded this thinking that it was an audio drama but it's an audiobook so be warned as rather disappointing

Let the devil out

Was surprised by how good this turned out.
The six chapters pretty much tell Matt Murdock's origin from being a reckless kid, to the accident that blinded him, to his father's murder, to Stick, college, Elektra. Along side Kingpin's rise to power in the criminal underworld.
The story is well paced, the narrator is easy to understand, the few actors are great in their roles and the music and sound effects help translate the action to audio.
Admittedly the chapters set around Matt's childhood can drag, but If you can get to the second half it picks up.
