About this listen
The Zondervan Biblical and Theological Lectures series provides a unique audio learning experience. Unlike a traditional audiobook's direct narration of a book's text, Daniel: Audio Lectures includes high-quality live recordings of college-level lectures that cover the important points from each subject as well as relevant material from other sources.
Daniel: Audio Lectures offers a clear and compelling exposition of the biblical text, guiding viewers in how to creatively and faithfully live out the book's messages in their own contexts. Its story-centric approach is ideal for pastors, students, Sunday school teachers, and laypeople alike who desire to better understand the book.
In each lesson, scholar and author Wendy L. Widder explores a passage's historical and canonical setting, reflecting further on how the text of Daniel can be applied today.

Daniel is the first course I have finished because with Audible I could listen to it when I’m driving, walking, doing dishes or before sleep (& a very quick way of getting asleep). It is informative, inspirational and applicable even audio/video format usually covers much less contents than a commentary book. Many chapters leave me in deep reflections, thoughts even tears. Each chapter starts with cross references of other OT Scriptures, history backgrounds then explains the meanings of the chapter in a brief way, and concludes with concrete life applications.
The chapter explains the book in a brief way but have important contents. Nevertheless reading through a commentary must be very boring and may be hundreds of hours long.
I would recommend Zondervan courses of the biblical studies to anyone who is interested to know more about a certain book, but does not have enough time to study it throughoutly. It will give you a glance of the book and prepare you for further study if time allows. Even with the contents of the course itself I believe it’s sufficient to prepare for leading Bible studies or a series of preaching on the book, through the lecture’s perspective though.
Long story short in a good way
