What’s a four-letter word for an utterly oblivious, totally commitment-phobic, heartbreakingly gorgeous man with a pet pig named Bernadette? That’d be D-U-N-N, as in Dunn Johnson, my very best pal and fishing buddy since I moved to Licking Thicket. What’s a six-letter word for a nerdy, crossword-loving town doctor who’s doomed to be hopelessly, thoroughly, irrevocably, in love with that straight best friend for the rest of his born days? That’s T-U-C-K-E-R, as in me.

Parrish Partridge’s true facts: There’s nothing hotter than a tall, gruff, bewildered, tattooed mountain of a man cuddling a sweet, orphaned baby, so you can tell yourself that you’ll resist him...But that’s a lie. And when that man asks you to do him a favor and pretend to be his very temporary, very fake fiance to help him get custody of that adorable baby, you can pretend you know better than to say yes...But that’s a lie, too.

I didn’t mean to stow away on the yacht, I swear. My first mistake was going home with the jerk at the bar, but in my defense, Prescott said he owned the Worthington - 90 feet of sleek, yachty perfection - and if I could get the chief mate’s job, I’d have an excuse to stay on board and keep avoiding my family and my future. How was I supposed to know he was the owner’s cheating, gold-digging almost brother-in-law, or that I’d end up stuffed in a closet when the ship left the harbor?

A night on the town after a long workweek at my family's distillery should include shots and dancing - not a hot kiss with a handsome stranger. I'm straight. At least, that's what I figured until I find myself locking lips with a sexy city boy. Now, all my circuits are going haywire, and the spark that ignites between us makes me even more curious. Unfortunately, I kissed the one man who's off-limits: Cohen Mitchell - the sole surviving heir to the Mitchell Creek distillery, a rival neighbor my family has feuded with for nearly a 100 years.

Publisher's Summary
I love my daughter, but finding out she wasn’t biologically mine is the best news ever.
I’m a widower who is too scared to have the stupid test that would tell me whether or not I even have the gene that would mean dealing with a horrible illness and certain death. A gene that could’ve also been passed to my child, had she been mine.
She’ll need her father, if something ever does happen to me.... That’s why I search for Maddie’s biological father, and when I find him, ask him to become part of her life.
What I didn’t expect is for him to become my best friend. Shane is fun and easygoing, the exact opposite of me. He makes me laugh. He’s the perfect antidote for my neurotic existence. And he’s bi, like me.
But am I courageous enough to take the leap into falling in love with him?
Dancing with Daddy is a super sweet, full-length, stand-alone, feel good MM romance. There’s no angst, just two very opposite men who befriend each other super fast then slowly find their way to love...all while parenting the precocious five-year-old who belongs to both of them.

The Perfect Sweet Romance
The blurb for this book states it’s a super sweet, feel good romance with no angst, and Susan Hawke gives us exactly that. This is one of those books you read because you want a book that will hug your heart and gently float you down a river of sweet, sugary fluff. If you want drama, thrills, and intense moments, this won’t be the book for you. If you want (like I did) a book that’s full of adorable kids, a tender slow burn romance, and a second chance at love, then this is definitely the book for you.
Bradley is a widower raising his five year old daughter, Maddie. When a medical emergency reveals that Maddie isn’t Bradley’s biological daughter, Bradley’s reaction is one of joy instead of despair because it means Maddie won’t inherent any hereditary diseases from him. In a moment of reflection, Bradley decides to find and reach out to Maddie’s biological father, Shane. Shane is the sunshine and excitement that Bradley needs in his life. Together, the two men work on building a family while slowly falling in love.
The character relationships are definitely the strongest part of this book. The pacing of the plot is like a gentle breeze – we know that Bradley and Shane are going to get together and fall in love, but it doesn’t have to be rushed and it doesn’t have to be dramatic. Instead, it’s just a soft and gentle love story that is full of tenderness and sweet, fluffy moments (as well as a few really hot and sexy bedroom scenes). I adored this book for that sweetness. It was like a refreshing sip of cold lemonade on a summer day, and the perfect escapism I needed from an extremely stressful week.
Michael Dean narrates the audiobook, and like all of Michael Dean’s productions, it’s very well done. Michael’s character voices are consistent and easy to listen to. The overall production was polished and met the high quality I expect from both Michael Dean and Susan Hawke. I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Feel Good Book
Sometimes you are looking for a low angst, sweet book and this one fits the bill.
While the plot is pretty far fetched, it's just realistic enough to be possible. It's sweet and cute and Maddie and her Daddies are adorable.
Its a bit of a slow burn, with a quick finish at the end. It takes place over several months time.
Michael Dean is fabulous as usual, and does a great voice for both the Dads and the women and of course little Maddie.
Susan Hawke is a favorite author of mine, and while I enjoy her kink novels probably a little better because I like Daddy kink, this type of Daddy was fantastic as well.

If Hallmark ever had MM...
If Hallmark or Lifetime ever had MM this would be a feature film. I did not mind the near "G" rating for content but I was expecting the romance to be much more explicit then it was. Good story line, good performance just felt like a typical Hallmark or Lifetime movie type but it fell flat for me. I was really hoping for more from the author during the story. I left feeling that it lacked something to really pull them together more. Parents/partners fight and argue all the time- Shawn was a little too easy going- that definitely should've been in there somewhere. It was almost like the HEA began once Shawn moved in and the excitement of the book was essentially over.

I could not stand the stand the performance
The performance is so excruciatingly sugary, it's like a bad sitcom from the 80's..It is so bad that I can't stand to wait to see if the story is actually well-written. I really don't like to pan books, but this performance is so over the top that I have to go no further, and I am only a few minutes into the first chapter.

I really enjoyed this story. The story was simple but beautiful, and it hit all the fils. My favorite part was the way the story protrude a healthy relationship. Dancing with Daddy
I needed this book after the last one. I love that most MM romances that I have read there has been little to no drama. I can’t tell you how refreshing that is.
Bradley is a sweet character and I can’t help but melt for the way that he loves his little girl. The revelation he has would have broken many others but for him it was a god send and you can’t help but see it from his point of view as well.
Shane is unique and character he brings the fun and helps Brad not be so stuffy. He shows Brad and Maddie how to have fun. But he is also a hard worker which is what I enjoyed. He is more than just one thing. When he finds out his role in Brad and Maddie’s life he roles with it, with joy and happiness.
Maddie is a cute child who like her father just goes with the flow but asks all the important question. I very much enjoyed this families story.
Michael Dean is a great narrator, I think it’s great that he can give voice to a child, and to an older woman and yet still sound smexy.

Sweet and moving
As is the case with Susan Hawke's audiobooks, I couldn't wait to get my, erm, ears on this one. The blurb for Dancing with Daddy was exactly the sort that tickles my fancy, and I quite enjoyed the story of two men who go from strangers to friends to lovers and are tied by their love for a woman they'd lost in different ways and for the little girl that was their world.
Bradley Weston (34) and Shane Jackson (29) were a study in contrasts, and that, along with their middle ground, aka five-year-old Maddie, made me curious as to how they would make their unexpected family unit work. Surprisingly, there wasn't a whole lot of angst and no conflict as far as the main characters are concerned. I loved the unique take of this single parent romance, even though he slow burn aspect of it was a wee bit slower than I would have liked.
Once again, Michael Dean takes the narrating helm here, and he doesn't disappoint, almost as if his voice was made for Susan Hawke's writing. I liked the story and narration, and by the end of the audiobook, I had a satisfied smile on my face and a happy heart at how everything came together for Bradley, Shane, and Maddie. Dancing withe Daddy get four stars. ❤️

sweet and sensual
This story was lovely on all accounts. The plot was endearing, the characters were so very realistic and loving, the fall together beautiful and the narration astounding. The plot gave listeners everything they need from the single daddy trope, and then some. With the immediate twist and the building tension, it’s amazing to see things come together as they did. The build up was oh so achingly slow and tender. But it was perfect all the same. It gave listeners what they love from mm romance and spicy connection. The characters back story’s and inner turmoils, mixed with all the current tension and angst makes for a beautiful story. The author created a lovely connection between them, that built from them having compatible traits and loveable quirks. Each character had such a brilliant individuality to them that it was impossible not to love them. The narration was astounding that’s all I can really say. Michael Dean is AHMAZING as always. He brings life, oomph and passion to the pieces he does and this one is no different. When he reads the spicy scenes and gives them the sensual and spicy and heated Gruff tones it bring that little extra we need as listeners. His voice is always crisp and clear and I’ve never had to listen to a part again because I didn’t catch it as his pacing is always spot on. Well done!

A good way to waste some time.
A nice sweet story that holds off on the more typically erotic moments until near the end, so it gets a decent build up. There isn't much o the story and dialogue can be cheesy as we all know with these stories. But it's refreshing to see more ordinary characters in a story like this, instead of the typical rich boy, authority figure or playboy type characters that litter romance books. These boys are just lovely, normal men who are in need of love and affection. Also loved the narrator who has a beautifully deep voice, full of warmth. He is perfect for these characters.

Holy sweetness!
This was a super low angst super sweet story! I really liked the friends to lovers aspect and I just felt like they were so adorable and perfect for each other. The narration was on point as usual and this was a perfect story when I was feeling particularly down. Loved it!

Absolutely, sweetly and wholehartedly AMAZING!
Story: A sweet, heartfelt story of two guys and a sweet little girl, with awesome flavor of found family and new beginnings.
What I love most about this book is how mature the MC were. Not in age, but in attitude and approach to an incredibly difficult situation.
You often see single father stories with miraculous maturity coming in after a bunch of stupid moves. Here? A story of balance and goodness. Amazing read through and through!
Narration: The voice was a great compliment for the story and it was a pleasure to listen!

Sweet, touching, and heartwarming
Sometimes you just need a lovely, happy, no-angst story. This is that book. There’s no drama, no dark moment, no super-stressful events. Just a nice easy strangers to friends to lovers story that evolved perfectly.
Bradley is a single father. His wife died tragically three years ago, and he’s been quietly raising his daughter Maddie. He does his best but when Maddie falls ill, he doesn’t just blame himself, he realizes he has no one in the world he can count on. With his own genetic history hanging over him like a looming specter, he acknowledges something has to change. Then he discovers he’s not Maddie’s biological father and instead of being upset, he’s relieved.
Now comes the toughest decision of his life. He has a very good idea who the father is and he makes the somewhat impulsive decision to reach out to the man. I don’t know whether I’d have had the courage were I in his shoes. He’s doing it for Maddie, of course, so that she’ll be protected. He’s also doing it for his own piece of mind. Shane is a man who was once important in Bradley’s wife’s life. Surely the guy’s got to be a good man. Right?
Shane is shocked when he discovers he’s a father. He could have been resentful and angry, but he never quite goes there. For him, it’s gratitude he now knows the truth. The opportunity to spend time with his daughter? Amazing. A chance to get to know her father? Even better.
This book is a slow burn. Both men were involved with Maddie’s mother, so it’s not readily apparent either would be interested in each other. As time moves on, there’s an inexorable pull between the two men that eventually they can’t deny. My heart sang when they finally admitted their feelings. Sigh.
I loved this book. Of course I’ve loved every Susan Hawke book I’ve ever read, so I had high expectations. This book met and then exceeded those. Two compassionate men, one sweet girl, and a couple of nosy old ladies and this book was perfection. I was sorry to see it end.
Naturally I have to mention Michael Dean’s narration. I just love everything he performs. I think I could listen to him recite the phone book and I would enjoy it. His old ladies are always a hoot, and his little Maddie was precious. Again, another great book. I can’t wait for more.
