I absolutely loved this book and the duet in general. Mafia is generally the genre I love the most and this book did not disappoint. It had it all violence, mystery, and angst. It was dark and dirty and left me wanting more. Even though I was not surprised by the twist as I saw it coming from the start it was a good way to end the duet.

I absolutely loved both these books, I laughed and cried and felt every emotion possible. I absolutely recommend this to everyone. The best book I have listened to in years and I absolutely loved the story and narrators. I wished there was a 3rd book about their marriage and trials.

I absolutely loved how intense this book was. I listened to the how thing in one day. Highly recommended if you like Mafia romance.

OK, I found book 1 satisfactory - it was enough to keep me going and to see where book 2 went.
Book 2 (this book), however, had me threatening to dnf from Chapter 13. I then came to the realisation that Gabriella was no better than a battered woman. She didn’t know who to turn to, and she was still under the rule of her father. Therefore, every other man was against her. Even when Stefan kept showing her good things, because he continued to keep secrets, he was still a monster in her eyes. So I struggled. Also, I'm not sure the word 'please' was uttered once in this book, which actually got on my nerves.

While the narrators were good, the audio wasn't smooth. I got the impression that some lines had to be re-recorded and there was background sound level changes throughout.
