About this listen
The intimacy of a cabin at Lake Tahoe provides the combustible circumstances that bring Diana Holland and Lane Christianson together in this passionate novel of first discovery.
Candid in its eroticism, intensely romantic, remarkably beautiful, Curious Wine is a love story that will remain in your memory.
©1983 Katherine V. Forrest (P)2022 Audible, Inc.Insta-love. That’s it. If this book was published today it would fall in that category and filed as any other insta-love novels. However, Katherine V Forrest has time on her side since this book was published in 1983. So, the novelty of insta-love was still exciting and a lesbian fiction with a HAPPY ending to boot.
Curious Wine is very sensual. The touching and longing of both women to be tactile all the time, being in each others orbit. I loved the little inserts of poetry lines in their conversations. It adds to the layer of sentimentality if words weren’t enough or a kiss is not possible amongst present company. I may be biased by how I speak of this book because despite its flaws it will remain a favourite and a classic for me. It will always have a special carved out nook in my little lesbian heart.
