Malcolm and Seong-Jae have no time to rest before they're needed on another case. Finally, in this book they admit their feelings, and it's raw, but oh so sweet. The mystery haunting Seong-Jae is slowing revealing itself. Though this 'episode' is short it's entertaining and again the narration was flawless. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Baltimore PD Dets Malcolm Khalaji and his partner / lover Seong-Jae Yoon are called to the hospital. A teenage girl has massive brain injuries after falling from a bridge. While it could be a suicide attempt, she keeps repeating the words, “He pushed me”. The case soon leads to a cult-like church that sets off alarm bells for Malcolm and Seong-Jae.

This was another enjoyably sombre and gripping murder-mystery. I’ve noticed that, in most of these cases, the one of the main suspects is the murderer and the difficulty is in proving it. Malcolm and Seong-Jae’s personal relationship is finally progressing well, although Seong-Jae’s maniacal ex-boyfriend is lurking everywhere, which can’t be good. 🎧 Actor Curt Bonnem gives another great audio performance!
