Publisher's Summary
Navy SEAL Maverick Hart has everything. Women want him. Grown men idolize him. The job, the glory - it's all his. Not because it's handed to him but because he works hard for it. The second his sights lock on something, he owns it - or destroys it. Windsor Forbes only takes calculated risks in her profession and in her personal life. After being left at the altar by the only person she's ever loved, the very last thing she's looking for is a relationship - especially the insane brand an arrogant Navy SEAL is offering. Hesitant yet trusting to a fault, she gives in. She knew she shouldn't take the chance, especially a second time, but love is irrational and their love is perfect, infallible - or so she thought. The downfall to having everything is that you have that much more to lose. A man like Maverick can't have it all without something slipping out of grasp.

Seriously Bad
This was a disturbing read. The main character was clearly a needy, damaged girl with many personality vulnerabilities. It was laughable how often we heard that she was "good...so good". This went on whilst she ordered her ex-boyfriends nose to be smashed in for breaking her heart 3 years ago and put her mother down ceaselessly. The romantic male lead was utterly unconvincing, spending much of his time marvelling as to how "truly good and innocent and pure" this somewhat trashy, uninspiring woman was. The sex scenes tried too hard (where did she get the idea spit was so erotic??) and the storyline was cardboard. It's a solid "no" from me.

WHAT BEAUTIFUL DEPTH AND EMOTION WITHIN THIS LOVE!
OMG, what an incredible, unpredictable, beautiful love story this was! The first scene between the leads was rather shocking as it was devastating and quite broken. Then, the author took the reader back to the past, to build the story and smoothly landed in the present tense. The blend of incredible leads, secondary characters, great writing style, as well as the fabulous performance of narrators made this an awesome listen!---Actually, a superb listen! Shirl Rae is one of my favorite narrators and she did so well in her performance in this one, and Marc Bachmann's voice was sexy as hell.
Maverick Hart IS "badass personified" as a Navy SEAL. Yes he is a man-whore, but in broader terms he's a part of a brotherhood that was wonderful and so touching to explore. I loved Maverick's POV! He had such a crude, dirty mouth, especially with his SEAL brothers...but it all felt like a realistic depiction of their masculine world. You can’t help but admire and fall in love with these fierce SEAL brothers!
Maverick is a very strong man who leaves no challenge unanswered, and is thrown into a tailspin when he is rejected by the beautiful, but guarded Windsor Forbes. Yet what started as a game between predator and prey turned into an intense, extraordinary, deeply emotional love. I loved Maverick and Windsor together so much, especially their sassy humor, electric chemistry, witty banter, and hot-torrid love! There are so many powerful and romantic moments that Maverick, the adrenaline-seeking, tough as nails, yet soft as velvet, Navy SEAL hottie gave to Windsor.—Seriously, very beautiful MUCH ANTICIPATED love scenes, and romance at it’s purest. *Sigh*
Overall, this book drew out a great depth of emotions in me. I was angry at both Maverick & Windsor’s decisions, at times, but more than anything I was enchanted with how they never gave up and worked things out, reaching a satisfying HEA. There is also tragedy, and I cried noisily while I was driving to work, and had to pull it together. This brings me to the next book, all I can say is that I am going to be greatly conflicted at heart when I read it. Boy does Robinson have a feat ahead of herself with Morganna’s book!!! I was so impressed with this book as her debut, that I know she will not disappoint! What a great start to a series!!!!
EXCELLENT AUDIOBOOK! LOVED IT!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
It was a decent read. Nothing to write home about, but I finished it and enjoyed it for the most part. I dont think I rolled my eyes more than once or twice and that's pretty good for me.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Meh
What about Marc Bachmann and Shirl Rae ’s performance did you like?
It just worked. no need for me to analyze it. I didnt hate it and they didnt make my ears bleed.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I wish there were more in the book.
I am a ROMANCE addict. I will not listen to anything else. But I need more. I need the story to be more than just the relationship. I hope this make sense. This book had NOTHING else happening. I need a murder, or a BIG SECRET, or SOMETHING.
The sad thing is I really liked the characters. I just needed more.

Crazy Good, is!
This story had a nice flow to it, arrogant, cocky Seal, meets his match and falls hard. This story has angst, but it is not contrived and there are no silly misunderstanding. Just honest emotions. I had to Google Rachel Robinson to see if this was the first in a series and it is, but another book is in the works for the Morganna character and I can't wait. But don't worry this is a completed story with a HEA. Buy or credit you'll enjoy this one.

So So Good!!
I cried like a baby! This story is an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. It took me an hour or so to be truly invested in the characters, so don’t give up right away. Worth the listen.

I love, love, love this story! The depth of emotion is incredible. It made me both laugh and cry. I loved all the characters also. The male narrator will never be my favorite but everything else about this book was wonderful.

Navy Seal Meets CPA
Maverick is a Navy SEAL who loves a challenge. Tattooed, muscular, sexy as sin – women throw themselves at him and he’s used to getting what he wants. And what he wants is Windsor Forbes so that he can move on to the next one. However, she’s different – she doesn’t fall for his smooth lines and sexy smile. Which makes her much more than a notch on his bed post – she becomes someone he wants to figure out and get to know.
Windsor is a no-nonsense CPA who analyzes risks and liabilities and makes informed, logical decisions. After being jilted by her fiancé after she found out about his cheating ass, she is lacking in her love life. When she meets Maverick all her internal alarms scream “STAY AWAY” but her body wants him. So after his clever persistence, she agrees to go out with him. Thus begins a sweet love story with freaking hot Navy SEAL sex scenes. Excuse me while I go fan myself.
I liked these two. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow from something physical to something so much more. It was like I got to experience them going through all their relationship milestones – first date, first kiss, first time getting some sexy time, first fight – to their life together as a couple. It was sweet and made me smile.
What I liked most about this book was that it surprised me. From Chapter 1, I never knew what to expect and was continually left not knowing what the author was going to throw my way. I think this is what made me unable to put this book down until I saw how it ended.
This story felt long – it is not some instant romance that takes place over a month or two. The entire storyline spans over a year (not counting the Epilogue). I did feel like the book was a bit too long though. Plot points and scenes were dragged out a bit and I felt like some scenes were fluff and unnecessary to forwarding the plot.
I normally do not read books about men in the military. There really is no reason – for me it’s just that I don’t like reading about a fictionalized version about what our troops go through when they are deployed. However, I made an exception for this book. And as much as I enjoyed this book I did have a hard time reading some of the scenes where Maverick is in Afghanistan. They were sad and heart breaking and bit too much for me to read – but that is just my personal issue. The scenes were written very well and don’t let my personal feelings cloud yours.
Now I need to talk about the last 30% of the book. I had a love-hate relationship with them. This is where all the angst was. My heart went back and forth like a ping pong ball between Maverick and Windsor. They were both completely right, yet both completely wrong. They both made stupid decisions, yet they both tried to redeem themselves. I was frustrated with them both, yet proud of them. All in all these two evened each other out and by the end I was perfectly content with how things ended up.
The Narrators:
I don't see the point in dual narrators unless the male and female narrators read the male and female parts of the story. Having said that Marc Bachmann , Shirl Rae did a good job with the delivery of the story.
Worth a credit, yes! this was a good story with just a few issues.

Great Love Story!
This was a great love story! I am so glad I bought this book. I highly recommend it. There were ups and downs but in the end every thing comes together. There was a part in the story that made me cry, it was very hard to get through it. I don't want to spoil it for you but this part will touch everyone who reads this book. It's going to be hard to top this book, but I hope Rachel Robinson continues her great writing abilities and shares it with all of us.

Slow at first but it picks up.
It starts out slow but picks up in the second half. Filled with some fluff which gets a little boring. Still it was okay, especially the second half.
As for the narrators, they were ok. Shirl Rae is someone I have heard before but has changed her name. I would know that giggle anywhere.

Not what I wanted
I have to confess I returned this audiobook because I just couldn't stomach the male narrator's voice. It was so affected and just so wrong for the character! Sorry, but it ruined it for me so much I stopped on chapter 3
