Wow.

What a ride. The dramatic presentation really brings the humaness to the history of the armistice. Very well presented. Wish so much more was in the narrative but still happy with the focus of the work.

My immediate impression was that I should play this for my children just before every Remembrance Day. To make it real what happens 100yrs ago.

Not so well known account

Enjoyed this podcast as it told of events of which I was previously unaware, particularly the political leadership of Germany at the time and how it changed afterwards. I would have found it easier to follow and understand if the voices had reflected their nationality as, except for General Pershing's US accent, the rest was spoken using English accents only. A slight German or French accent would have helped me to follow who was speaking.

Riveting stuff

This gives a very good insight into the minds of the people who were behind the war machines of WW1.

Entertaining

I didn't realise what a chaotic year (1918) the last year of the First World War was.
This is an excellent mini series. Extremely well written and extremely well read.

Good in parts

Well performed and examined though familiar history - but the dialogue ascribed to major players is clunky and on the nose. I found listening to ‘French’ generals talking about Ami-on and Reems painful. No pronouncing dictionary available?
