This series seems a wee bit more merciless, bloody and brutish, with writings that veer so far away from what the first 20 books gave us. Yes new series, new characters but, it’s a supposing continuity of The Rangers Path via the Illenian Enigma. Why is it so scattered and void of adventure or connectivity? Bad writing. The voice reader has changed, and it’s to an American chappy and he’s just so detached to the series it’s hard to listen to. It’s like changing Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in The Witcher and changing the whole storyline. NO! There is no atmosphere nor bonding to the characters. He’s made Komir as whimpy as a 13yr old whinging for his x-box. But this also reverts back to Urvi’s storyline that is so vacant. Lasgol is also whimpy and weakarsed and yes, I know he’s lost part of his memory, but we only get a migraine mention if he tries to remember. And where is that storyline? Norghanians speaking like dracular really made the toes curl and their description is now kind of changed to giants of the ice that talk smack if you look at them! Pffft! It’s bollocks. The more I hear the more I think Urvi didn’t write it and that some ghost writer took a whack at it (without knowing the history prior - FIVVER?) or Urvi did write it, after being held hostage by a dragon that sucked all his memories out, especially of the previous series. What a Mess!

What A Big Bloody Mess!
