Publisher's Summary
During the depths of the Great Depression, Seabiscuit won against incredible odds and uplifted the hearts of Americans from the streets to the White House. Ralph Moody recounts the thrilling tale of the plucky horse who refused to quit, the down-on-his-luck jockey who didn't let horrendous accidents keep him out of the saddle, and the taciturn trainer who brought out the best in both.
Critic Reviews
"Moody is no stranger to a well-told horse tale, having penned Stagecoach West and the beloved Little Britches books. But it's this story of the knobby-kneed colt called Seabiscuit that has won the most hearts, and is here lovingly retold in audiobook form. Storyteller Jim Weiss narrates, using his very best talents to capture the drama and heart of clumsy Seabiscuit himself, the grandson of the legendary Man O'War." (The Midwest Book Review)

Amazing story
I grew up hearing stories about the great horses in the pass .. my grandfather use to sit me on his lap and would tell me stories about Seabiscuit, while he would reacted them with my toy horses I had .. but to hear this book .. wow .. truly this book almost makes you believe you’re there as well .. the way Jim Weiss narrated this book is amazing.. I cried, laughing, and literally jumped for joy when Seabiscuit won the last race.. If your a lover of horses then this book is for you .. if your a lover of suspense then this book is for you .. if you are a lover of a good book then this book is for you as well .. I enjoyed every minute of it..

a fantastic story on Seabiscuit
speaking from the perspective of a horse lover and avid follower of horse racing...this was a captivating narrative, loved every minute of it as did my 12 and 15 year old children. younger children and maybe people who are not familiar with horse racing and the race tracks involved might find it tedious to listen to and hard to keep track of where and what is happening. 5 stars from my family though!
