I have really enjoyed the other books in this series, some more than others, but this one didn’t hit the mark for me. The story isn’t as well crafted, characters lacking depth and some of the links to previous books feels very clunky.

I love Rachel Abbott’s books but sadly not this one. The start was fantastic but then the whole main part wasn’t. The ending was better so I gave it 3 stars instead of only 2.

Enjoyed a peak back into the world of DCI Tom Douglas. It seems a long time ago since the last book in the series, nonetheless, I was very happy to continue the journey and picked it up straight away from where the last left off ...hope it isn't top long until the next book. Looking forward to it.
