Publisher's Summary

Love always endures the test of time.

After a devastating fire pitted their families against each other, high school sweethearts Phoebe Ritter and Aidan Payne were torn apart. Twenty years later, Aidan is called back to Blessings, nervous about confronting his painful past. And that's before he knows about the 19-year-old secret Phoebe has been harboring all this time.

As Aidan tries to make up for lost time with the family he didn't know he had, Phoebe and Aidan rediscover long-suppressed feelings. But the past won't lie buried, and old enemies threaten to destroy the peace they've fought so hard to find.

Heartwarming Series of Redemption Stories

This series has heartwarming stories of the lives of people who have brokenness in their past and find redemption and love again - all set in a charming town. However as a native Georgian, its research is a bit cringe-worthy.
- Georgia (Atlanta by Dr. Pemberton) is the Home of Coca-Cola, not Pepsi. Many families in the state became wealthy by holding original shares of stock. Pepsi was formulated in North Carolina - each state is true to their bottled pop!!!
- The mountains in Georgia are 6-8 hours from Savannah. Southern and Coastal Georgia are flatlands . . . no mountains anywhere.
- You will not find Lilacs south of the Mason Dixon line - the hot humid summers kill them.
- The bayous are native to Louisiana . . . . and Stetson hats are native to Texas

Pissed off.

Aiden not knowing about his son is 100% Phebie’s fault. She was childish and selfish. He didn’t come back for her, so he didn’t deserve to know about his son BS.... She rejected him first, and shunned him. I love this author, but am seriously disappointed that she wrote this story as Aidens fault.... It seriously makes me angry that she would make Phobee a victim when it was all her fault. To me it’s straight up man hating! HEA or not for the story, or not that part of this story disturbs me!

I feel in love with their second chance at love

It was so beautiful to see her break down her walls and let the only man she ever loved back in. the story was well written, a few unseen twist but the harmony was expected!

Great Read

Come Back to Me (Blessings, Georgia, #6) was a good read by Sharon Sala. Phoebe and Aidan were high school sweethearts that were torn apart by a devastating fire that pitted their families against each other. Twenty years go by before Aidan was called back to Blessings. He doesn’t want to confront his past but he knows that he may have to. Phoebe and Aidan see each other and long suppressed feelings creep up again. Their past comes back to destroy the peace that they have found. I loved reading Aidan and Phoebe’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala.

The heroine was not likeable for me

The heroine dwelt too much on her feelings of shame and abandonment. She tried to use it as justification to keep a "secret" for 20 years. I loved the love interest, but I found Phoebe too frustrating.

A miss for me.

This is my 4th story by Sharon Sala. I have thoroughly enjoyed her others, but this is a miss for me.

I struggled with this story. If it were my first, I would not have read any more by this author (and that would be a shame). It’s not a spoiler to say the hero returns to his hometown after 20 years only to learn he has a 19 year old child no-one chose to tell him about even though he was contactable.

None of the reasons and circumstances surrounding the failure to notify the hero satisfied me. I felt quite mad about how the hero, a good guy, was treated for 20 years. He DESERVED to be told. I felt that both the child, now 19, and the hero, had all those years together stolen from them.

I read all the way to the end, and the story has a satisfying ending for the trio as a family as you would expect in a romance. However, I could not swallow the lump of bitterness and betrayal I felt on behalf of the hero and the child. For this reason, my rating is low.

The narration was good, but not the story (for me).

I'll read more Sharon Sala novels because the others I've read have been great. I just can't recommend this one.
