Publisher's Summary

The hunt for mass murderer Cara Lindstrom is over. FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke has been working for this moment: the capture of a killer who savagely hunts the worst of humanity. But Roarke remains traumatized by his own near-death at the hands of the serial killer who slaughtered Cara's family...and haunted by the enigmatic woman who saved his life.

Then the sixteen-year-old prostitute who witnessed Cara's most recent murder goes missing, and suddenly pimps are turning up dead on the streets of San Francisco, killed with an MO eerily similar to Cara's handiwork.

Is a new killer on the loose with a mission even more deadly than hers? In the pulse-pounding third Huntress/FBI Thrillers book, Roarke will have to go on the hunt...and every woman he meets, even those closest to him, may prove deadly.

Great follow

The male character of Rosie is deep and so conflicted, but realistic. Love both male special agents plus Singh and Kara is complex. Mills is brilliantly portrayed and such dialogue !!!

Does not excit in any way

I was very disappointed with this book. It proved to be so predicable to read it was painful. I initially thought Sololoff was onto spmething special but this Bk 3 has not supported my expectation at all. I found the character development of the FBI Principal unconvincing with author repeated phrases describing his anger and total human disfunction just too too too much. The read was okay that material not so.

Not as good as previous books in the series.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The book required more of the new story and less repetition from previous books. Also, the story lines and character descriptions were repeated over and over again. It was frustrating and became boring. Some of the foul language seemed over-used and took over from what could have been a more in-depth thriller story. .

Would you ever listen to anything by Alexandra Sokoloff again?

Not sure. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series.

What about R.C. Bray’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed his character performances.

What character would you cut from Cold Moon?

None

Any additional comments?

The story could have been told in a fraction of the time. It was disappointing and not up to the usual standard of the intriguing thriller series.
