Excellent Tigner espionage thriller!
What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?
Dick Hill as always gave an excellent performance. He along with Scott Brick and Joe Barrett is one of my favorite narrators.
Any additional comments?
This is a really good espionage mystery thriller. The action is nonstop and begins on page one. The protagonist Alex Ferris's twin brother is murdered in his home but it is made to look like a suicide. Of course Alex does not believe this is the case and the race is on to find out who could have done this and why. And why are people Alex knows working to get him out of the way and threatening his life as well? Who Is influencing and how are they convincing normal everyday people to perform acts they are unlikely to candidates to carry out? The investigation takes Alex to Russia where his roots are buried and where he finds out secrets of his life that he probably didn't want to know.
My only complaint about Tom Tigner's books is that they are all stand alone novels. The characters he creates could easily become a series of books and I often find myself thinking about possible future books when ever I finish one of his books.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Another Unputdownable Thriller by Tim Tigner
What made the experience of listening to Coercion the most enjoyable?
The great plot and the excellent narration
What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Life
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I almost did
Any additional comments?
Coercion is a new unputdownable thriller by very talented author Tim Tigner. The book was just released in audio format, after a revised print edition was released last summer and Mr. Tigner continues his collaboration with award-winning narrator Dick Hill. Since I am a big audiobook fan and Dick is one of my favourite narrators of all times and now he is somewhat retired, I always treasure any new occasion in which I can enjoy his brilliant performances.
The story of Coercion follows Alex Ferris, a former US Army soldier and ex spy as he discovers and after that tries to stop a plot by KGB General Vasily Karpov who wants to bring Mother Russia to its former power by forcing US citizens to betray their country… You’ll be in for a treat as the action is non-stop, the characters are very well developed and the idea behind it all is fantastic and at the same time, terrifying. There were lots of plot twists, a great chase scene through the Siberian wilderness and it even ends with a bang…
I started listening to Coercion in the evening, stopped it late in the night and picked it right up when I popped my eyes open in the early hours of the next day. Tim Tigner is one of those rare writers that will always surprise you with his stories. You think that you know what will happen? Wrong! You think you know who’s who and what’s what? Wrong! He always delivers a unique experience, stories driven by original plots and you will never forget one of his main characters.
As I said above, the audiobook version of Coercion is performed by the great Dick Hill. He does a fantastic job with giving life to all the characters by using different voices and accents and by keeping the action going at breakneck speeds, as it was intended in the first place by the book’s creator. Dick‘s narration also makes it very easy for the listener to identify each of the characters.
Coercion is a great thriller by an always improving writer and the audio version is better than the print one because it is brought to life by one of the best narrators in the Audiobook Industry. Tim Tigner‘s writing reminds me of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. they being two of my favourites authors of all times…

This must become a movie!
What made the experience of listening to Coercion the most enjoyable?
Coercion is chock full of emotions, all of which make your pulse pound in one way or another. You empathize with the characters, sharing their joy, pain, and fear. I found myself wondering what I'd do, were I the victim of Coercion (which seemed very plausible to me.) Tigner also weaves playfulness into the narrative to keep the tension off overload. Very well done!
What other book might you compare Coercion to and why?
There's an outstanding scene in Coercion that I'll never forget. It involves a chase through the Siberian wilderness in the dead of winter. Reminded me of Louis Lamore's Last of the Breed. Tigner really shines as a master storyteller in that sequence.
What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
This book is fraught with emotion, and Mr. Hill really makes you feel it.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, the climactic comeuppance scenes for the various subplots were superb -- but I don't want to give anything away.
Any additional comments?
So many twists and turns -- just like the history of the Cold War. Although this is a period piece, with all that Putin is up to, Coercion feels like it's out of today's headlines. I continue to be a Tigner fan.

Tigner does it again!
Would you consider the audio edition of Coercion to be better than the print version?
I love audiobooks, and consider Dick Hill to be at the top of that game. It was through him that I found Tim Tigner in the first place, and I'm so glad that I did. I've devoured all of his novels.
I can't compare the audio to the print version, as I haven't read it, but it's fantastic.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Coercion?
I like the way Tigner leaves cliff hangers at the end of his chapters. One that will always stick with me comes from an early chapter, which ends something like "Go to Georgi's room." I was so there in that moment.
The Siberian chase scene was also phenomenal.
Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?
Of course I liked Alex, the protagonist. But Tigner does a good job of making the bad guys human too. And of course Hill brings them to life if brilliant color.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I practically did. Just bought it yesterday. It kept me up late, and I turned it on first thing this morning.
Any additional comments?
As I do with Vince Flynn (now Kyle Mills) and Lee Child and a few others, I'm always looking forward to Tim Tigner's next.

Another Brilliant story
Would you listen to Coercion again? Why?
I find Tim Tigner's stories very original within the genre, well written and fast paced.
Compares to Lee Child very well.
What other book might you compare Coercion to and why?
Any Jack Reacher novel or any of Tim's other stories.
Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Dick Hill's voice is different, but then.....he is also the voice of Jack Reacher!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I have come to love Tim's books. I find them refreshingly original in theme and always fast paced.
I am afraid that my reviews might sound like I am a mate of Tim's but I live in New Zealand and only found his books through an Audible recommendation.
Any additional comments?
I have all of Tim's available audiobooks.

Exciting. Beyond the Possible...Hopefully!
A definite page-turner and well narrated. Very enjoyable read, though a little on the side of needing to suspend disbelief, only slightly. If you like the genre, give it a try. You will get hooked.

You won't need be coerced into enjoying this book
I really enjoyed this book, it had so much action and twists going on in the story that it will keep you hooked until the end. It is very easy to see this book being turned into a film it has enough action and intrigue to be a big block buster. I liked the characters, especially Alex, it was the way he seemed to be out for the count or in big trouble but out smarted his foes, with style and grace.
When Alex receives a phone call tell him his brother is going to be killed he drops everything and rushes to his side. Only to find he is to late, this sets in motion one great big roller coaster ride that he had better hold on tight to or he could end up dead too. Knowing something was going wrong at his brothers company he starts there and ends up traveling to a remote area in Siberia where it is not only the cold wilderness he will have to battle. Russian assassin's are out to stop him and have there own plan for using him and with deadly chemicals in there pockets they might just have the power to make him do what they want. But then again Alex an ex soldier/spy turned private investigator has a few tricks up his selves and maybe a few friends.
Dick Hill is an audible narrator in high demand for a reason but I am glad he decided to read this book as he is able to weave his magic and turn an excellent book up to a higher level. I would highly recommend any Tim Tigner book.
