Really engaging short story, fantastic characters and premise. Would love to hear and/or read a sequel.

A thrilling ride.

I loved the book and would love to see it made into a film. The characters were compelling even though you didn’t get to spend much time with them. Sadly the narrators accents were difficult to listen to though.

As always with a Mathew Riley book, the action is fast paced and enjoyable to read

it's certainly no Scarecrow or Jack West Jr...

maybe my expectations were too high.
so far I've really enjoyed all of Matthews books, but this one has left me feeling underwhelmed and disappointed.

short, lacking

I liked the story, but it lacked details, and just skipped to key moments. Flash backs were ok, but didn't always fill in the gaps, or were obvious segways.

It seemed short, yet, predictable, and while more details may have made for a more enjoyable experience, the story was leading me to what was likely to happen.

A no surprises story, lacking detail.

Why such high maturity threats?

I love Matthew but Cobalt Blue as a whole was predictable and should have been shorter. Fury didn't need to threaten rape which although only mentioned a few times, essentially ruins the book by excluding younger readers via high maturity content from the simple story line they could have enjoyed. This easy correction could have established Cobalt blue as a heroine for teenage girls. Pity.
