Two friends. One campervan. And plenty of whisky.

This is the hilarious true story of a Scottish adventure like no other.

With a foreword by Diana Gabaldon.

When Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish hit the road, they are not following a script. They are chasing adventure. Armed with a campervan, a shared history and plenty of curiosity, they set out to explore the Scotland that lies beyond the clichés.

What follows is a fast moving, whisky fuelled journey through dramatic landscapes and untold stories. They battle the elements on windswept coastlines, cross remote Highland glens and dive headfirst into the legends that shaped a nation. From bloody clan warfare to stirring poetry and centuries old traditions, every stop reveals a new side of Scotland.

But the real story unfolds between them. Cramped conditions, unexpected detours and a fair share of chaos push their friendship to its limits, and then strengthen it in ways neither expected.

Packed with humour, history and unforgettable moments, this is Scotland at full throttle. Bold, beautiful and alive. A journey that will leave you wanting more.

absolutely brilliantly read; hilarious and educational. it feels like you're sitting right next to these wonderful men, as they bicker and moan and reminisce their way around Scotland.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in Scotland, Outlander, and fitness.

fantastic read, wonderfully narrated.

I was taken by surprise at how much enjoyment this book - my first audiobook - gave me. Listening to Sam and Graham regale stories from their trip and impart knowledge on the history of Scotland had me at times laughing out loud and at others contemplative. Their banter is hilarious, and I suspect the delivery of it in their own voices contributed greatly (it wouldn't have been quite the same with just reading words on a page). For all Outlander fans, there are plenty of references, and it's fascinating to get a further glimpse behind the scenes. 100% recommend.

Delightful!

If you’re looking for an audiobook that transports you to another time and place, then this is it. Brilliantly narrated by the authors, Graham and Sam, it is packed full of huge laugh-out-loud moments, as well as eye-popping facts about the history of Scotland. If Graham McTavish had been my history teacher, I would have ACED that subject. The authors aren’t shy in sharing their true personalities either, which makes listening to their good-spirited banter even more endearing. A highly unique book with walloping entertainment value!!
