Story
What’s a four-letter word for an utterly oblivious, totally commitment-phobic, heartbreakingly gorgeous man with a pet pig named Bernadette? That’d be D-U-N-N, as in Dunn Johnson, my very best pal and fishing buddy since I moved to Licking Thicket. What’s a six-letter word for a nerdy, crossword-loving town doctor who’s doomed to be hopelessly, thoroughly, irrevocably, in love with that straight best friend for the rest of his born days? That’s T-U-C-K-E-R, as in me.

Story
For the last three years, I've lived and breathed hockey with one goal: team captain. There's only one thing standing in my way. TJ Beckett. Beck is irresponsible and immature, and I've hated him since the moment we met freshman year. Yet the coaches see something in him I obviously can't, and they refuse to choose between us. The captain spot is going to a team vote. And the team thinks that what we need are a bunch of challenges to prove our worth.

"Look out for Zach, and don't hit on him." My brother's request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself. Easy. Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I've always thought was cute, I don't have the time to think with my...stick. There's only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that's my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract. The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice. Only, keeping to the rules is harder than I thought it would be.

Story
Being an identical twin doesn't come without issues. No one can tell us apart, not even our parents sometimes. We don't usually use that to our advantage, but it comes in handy when my brother needs help breaking up with his boyfriends - which happens more than I'd care to admit. I know it's enabling him, but I can't say no to Anders. I will do anything for my twin. The breakups always go the same; they're swift and simple. Until Reed. When I give in to temptation, it's not because he's a guy. It's because he thinks I'm my brother, and I can't bring myself to tell him the truth.
Publisher's Summary
Just call me fate's fool.
I've given advice to half the town through my weekly advice column, but I can't seem to take any of those great gems and apply them to my own life. Namely: Just get over him, already!
I've spent two years pining after an arrogant playboy of an alpha, watching him flirt with every unattached omega in town. All the while, my wolf has been howling at me to do something, to make this right.
Because, that playboy is my fated mate.
And at long last, he's turned his attention back to me, chatting me up, acting like we never shared the most magical night of my life. I never thought he could be so cruel.
But now, I realize the truth - he's not trying to be an asshole.
He just doesn't remember me.
And I don’t know what to do about that.
Should I guard my heart...or give him a second chance?
Welcome to Blackwater, Montana - a small town with a big personality, where shifters and humans coexist. Claiming My Enemy is a dual point of view, shifter mpreg audiobook with a guaranteed happy ending. The fourth in this series, this audiobook can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

In love with the playboy
I really liked this book. The characters well very well portrayed. The story is a mix between enemies to lovers and a second chance romance.
Some of the situations deal with real life problems like alcohol and rejection, but overall it is a lighthearted story with a happy ending, cute babies and a happy couple... So... If you like stories where all is well that ends well this one is for you.
The narrator did an amazing job and I didn't get lost in the audio!

Enemies to Fated Mates
*Includes spoilers*
This is the 4th book in the series, but can completely be listened to as a standalone. Nash is a partying playboy, and in my opinion, an alcoholic even though shifters can’t suffer from those types of illnesses and addictions. He oftentimes drinks until he blacks out and doesn’t remember his actions during those times, and one of those times was his first sexual experience with Holden where they become fated mates. Nash has a long journey to get Holden to even talk to him or l
even like him, and it all comes to a head when they run into each other in a restaurant and their relationship changes. Liam Kingsley is a new-to-me author and I think the writing is good and the premise of the book was good, but some parts of the book felt rushed and made it a little confusing to understand timelines. A good example was the time from when Holden conceives and then has the babies. Toward the end of the book, the story seemed rushed. I wish they spent more time on Nash getting over his alcoholism, the relationship building between him and Holden, and i wish Nash’s reunion with his father wasn’t just in the epilogue. That felt like a huge component of what made Nash act the way he did that was overlooked. All in all, it was a good story and I’d recommend it for those who like mpreg/shifters.

A Rocky Fated Mates Second Chance Romance
Alpha shifter Nash is an unabashed playboy businessman with problems, and Omega shifter Holden his forgotten one-time hookup and fated mate. With the hurt and shame of this unintended rejection looming over them, their relationship gets off to rocky start that's followed by plenty of passion and tests of their love and commitment. Their family-centered HEA (there's Mpreg) is hard-won and satisfying, though I do wish time had been devoted to Nash overcoming substance abuse given its massive importance in the storyline.
This was my first trip to Blackwater but I had no issues following along. Narrator Austin Jay delivered a solid performance that made for an enjoyable listen. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Holden and Nash
Claiming My Enemy is book 4 in the Blackwater Pack series. This is an enjoyable enemies to lovers, second chance story. Holden and Nash are fated mates, too bad Nash doesn't remember their night together. Nash is a bit of a playboy and drinker, and doesn't always remember who he spends his nights with. This is an emotional rollercoaster as Holden gives Nash a second chance and they find their happy ending together.
Narrator Austin Jay does a fabulous job. I really enjoy his narrations.

As painful and heartwarming as when I read it
I really like both Nash Underwood and Holden Edwards. Each man's issues are real and significant, and the pain they both feel because of Nash's betrayal is also the thing that, once healed, brings them closer together than they expected. Once the wound of their separation begins to close, both Nash and Holden can breathe enough to learn about the other, to build a proper fated-mate relationship. Nash's past catches up with him more than once in this story, and he's never allowed to forget that the choices he made, particularly in the two years between the first and second time he meets Holden, will forever be a scar on his soul. Some things can never be forgotten, even when they are forgiven. The narration was fine, allowing me to hear the characters in a way I didn't hear them when I read it for myself.

Claiming My Enemy
I enjoyed this book a lot though I definitely wanted to smack a certain someone over the head for being an idiot and a drunk. Holden and Nash were great once they actually got to be together. Nash definitely had to redeem himself and prove he was better than he’d been acting. I definitely wanted to hug Holden a bunch of times and protect him from things Nash would do. I was glad Nash finally realized he had a problem and was willing to do things to try to fix it. This book had quite a few emotions in it and I enjoyed their love story even if they had a lot to over come.

Enjoyable shifters story!
Story: A standalone story in the Blackwater Pack series. I didn't read the previous stories and it did not impact my enjoyment of this one. I liked the overall feel of the story and the MCs, but I felt as if some of the plot points and emotions could use some more depth and bearing in the story. In general though, it was an enjoyable experience and a good wolf shifters story.
Performance: A very good voice for this one! I liked how the narrator carried through all the emotions and how it matched the story.

Easy Listen, Good narration
This is the first book I’ve listened to in this series. I am vouch for this being able to read as a stand alone. While it was apparent some of the side characters had their own story at some point, it did not have any bearings on this story. Although, I am curious if we got to see Nash and Holden in the background of previous books. 🍻👨🏼🤝👨🏻
This was a fairly enjoyable story. I wish it would have explored a few plot points more than it did. I felt like the two biggest storylines were just washed under the rug in the end. I appreciated the storyline of Nash being an alcoholic and realizing he needed help...but beyond that....nothing...except for a few mentions about wishing he could drink. I also wish that the pain of being lied to was also dropped as soon as Nash and Holden had the conversation. It wasn’t even mentioned after they had their own baby. That kind of pain doesn’t just go away. It felt like the resolution was superficial. 🍻👨🏼🤝👨🏻
Austin Jay did a great job with the voices and emotions of the characters. I’ve come to really enjoy his work.

Second chances, regret, and redemption
I enjoyed this addition to the Blackwater Pack series. It has a good deal of emotion and angst, regret, insecurities, forgiveness, acceptance, and change. I liked Holden's belief in fated mates and his willingness to give Nash another chance, but I really appreciated the fact that he made Nash prove himself. He didn't just forgive him right away. I thought their growth as individuals and together was the best part of the book, seeing how much they changed, especially Nash who hadn't realized or accepted the true source of his carousing and drinking. Great story, with some twists, and surprises, and a very nice redemption and reconciliation at the end. The narration was okay, but there were some times when two males were speaking that the voices were so similar I wasn't sure who was talking. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Arrogant Alpha!
Nash is a very successful Alpha, from Korean parents who were not happy with his choices. That might be why he was a big jerk with other men, specially with his mate Holden. Holden hates his mate, who doesn’t even remember him. When they meet again, their attraction is too strong. It’s a good story, with a repentant mate and lots of love. I loved their happily ever after. Narration on point!

A well-rounded romance
I wasn't expecting this enemies-to-lovers romance to be so deep, but Nash and Holden's story was incredibly emotional. From the misunderstanding that sparked hatred after their first meeting to confronting their past trauma and coming to terms with difficult family situations, these men went through so much together over the course of this story. Those early days of Holden hating Nash for a disastrous one-night stand seem so far away now that I've reached the end of their epic story. Both Nash and Holden went through immense character growth throughout this book, and it was incredibly satisfying to see them mature as individuals and as a mated couple. I was expecting this entire story to be about Nash and Holden getting together, but was pleasantly surprised to see how much more of this book focused on what happened after they agreed to give things a chance. It's not often that I get to listen to romances that cover more than the honeymoon stage, and I loved getting an extended look at how their coupled-up life turned out. As satisfied as I was with the overall storyline, I do wish this author had made the side-plotlines feel more believable. I wasn't entirely convinced by the way Nash resolved things with his drinking problem, Trevor, and his dad, and any mention of Holden's career completely vanished towards the end of the story. Minor complaints aside, I thought this was a wonderfully written romance with excellent narration from Austin Jay.
**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
