The author definitively included a lot of details which had absolutely no bearing on the story in order to increase the word count. Maybe trying to draw the reader in and make the story more realistic, but it was just obviously unnecessary.
Overall story was ok, narration was good.

Much as a muchness as for Book 1 of this sereies, except, this gets really bad when a female detective who has her foot in a 'Moon Boot' goes into a situation without back-up... Very Disappointing!
