Jedenfalls will der Kellner Klothe sie dort entdeckt haben, jedenfalls behauptet er lautstark, von einem Kommissar Halder zur Protokollaufnahme ins Präsidium bestellt worden zu sein. Nur dass hier niemand von einer Toten am Rande der Stadt etwas weiß und Kripomann Halder gar nicht am Fundort gewesen sein kann: Er hatte ein paar Tage Urlaub.
Gehört Klothe also zu jener Art von Psychopathen, bei denen sich die Grenze zwischen Einbildung und Wirklichkeit verwischt? Getrost könnte das Ermittlungsteam Halder und Mollmann die Angelegenheit zu den Akten nehmen und vergessen, drängte sich nicht die Parallele zu einem spektakulären Mordfall vor einigen Jahren auf. Damals wurde auf Grund zahlreicher Indizien der Autohändler Capo der Tötung seiner Verlobten überführt. Es war ein blondes Mädchen mit Vorliebe für rote Strickjacken.
