I liked this action-packed story.

I enjoyed reading “Butterfly Lake: Another Rob Marrino and Tex Larson Story” by Robert J Saniscalchi which is an exceptional, well structured, and very dramatic story. I also enjoyed reading another novel by this excellent author, “Bullets and Bandages: Bond of Brother.”

In my opinion, this is an action-packed story that I found to be highly entertaining. The author quickly takes the reader into heavy drama and suspense when a young girl (daughter of one of the protagonists) is cruelly abducted by two worthless and wicked derelicts.

I especially liked and was quickly drawn into the flow of this story, and the smooth and fast-paced writing style of this author who writes in a descriptive yet concise manner with just the right amount of detail. I felt the author kept the story very dramatic, eventful, with great amounts of tension and suspense continually growing as I read it.

For example,
“He stood there for a moment, then called out again. But, still, there was no reply and no sight of her. He walked along the tree line, still yelling for his daughter, as he made his way back toward the house. Every few feet, he stopped and looked about, then continued around the perimeter of the cabin, calling and searching. Tex felt his body tighten when he saw Angela, running toward him from the front of the house. She was in tears, her face full of fear.”

Both Rob and Tex struggle to deal with their emotions trying to maintain cool heads to save the girl.

I also felt the author described very realistic police investigations and organized searches to find the girl which added to the action of this enthralling tale.

I like the way the author takes the reader along with Rob and Tex, the police and other facets all on a mission to find the girl. The searches involve twists and turns and unexpected difficulties in attempts to rescue her which are very realistic and unexpected. In my opinion, this story is rich in action, suspense, escapes, captures, and much more.

All in all, I felt this story was very well done. I enjoyed reading the work of this intelligent and action-packed author with his brilliant style. Highly recommended!

I was given a complimentary copy of this book. However, that does not in any way influence this review of this book by writer Robert J Saniscalchi, who in my opinion, is an exceptional author and a very realistic and creative writer.

I'm happy that I listen it!

This is the first book I've ever read by Robert James Saniscalchi, but having read it I will search through her other titles. It was an excellent book! The subject matter was easy, and enjoy at times, as I knew it would be before starting. I could not put it down because I had to find out how the story ended. It was a glorious book,

Assam audiobook!

I like that this book comes to action straight away; less unnecessary conversations, and more drama and action. The description of the lake, its vicinity, the setup, is apt. The evil brothers, the detectives, the parents - all characters came to light as the story progresses. The tension builds up straight from the beginning, and you will get gripped with the book as you proceed. Overall, Listen well and with good effort.

I loved this sweet Story!

I loved this sweet novel. It stirred the memories of my mother’s love of where she was raised, the home she carried in her heart. The title was so appropriate but the full impact is not shared until near the end. Well written, it held my interest throughout. I loved the characters, and how the author brought them to life and let me feel both their joy and sadness. That is a real talent.

A little too bland for me

This was an okay Christian story about a family vacation gone wrong. The young girl getting kidnapped practically in front of her family reminded me of the beginning of The Shack but the similarity ends there. The family had faith they would find her, and the dad and his friend are determined not to quit looking till they find her. These two characters and the two mountain men were pretty good but the others were forgettable. The story was okay but not very suspenseful. The narrator was a little bland but he did a pretty good job with all the characters. It wasn't a complete waste of time but a little too bland for me.

Great Audiobook

From the start I thought, this is the saddest story I have ever perused. In any case, the movement of life in the entirety of its wonder and untidiness began to radiate through. Liam is correct. In some cases there are not satisfactory cut standards forever. All around done. Simply read it. I would prefer not to part with anything. You won't be heartbroken.

A very enjoyable audiobook!!

May not be the most original of stories but it was very well Listen and had a good pace. Had action, suspense and danger. Again, it was well Listen so I could easily visualize the characters and the forest setting.

Lovely and Haunting

Lovely and haunting at the same time. The generational events that shape Hannah's life come home to roost on hers. The lies believed and told are passed down like genetics embedded in Hannah's DNA. When her daughter needs clarity at a turning point in her life Hannah steps up and reveals everything no matter the consequences so the past mistakes are not revisited on the next generation.

Excellent!

What starts out as a nice family vacation on Butterfly lake soon turns into a nightmare when 14 year old Lori is kidnapped while chasing butterflies. Her parents alert the authorities but it's her father, Tex and his army buddy Rob who find and rescue her. The book is face paced and enjoyable.

Butterfly Lake....

Butterfly Lake begins with a blast and never eases up. The two Vietnam vets are magnificent characters, and I pull for them the entire time. Terrible things occur, yet not as awful as it could have been, so you're left with a positive sentiment toward the finish of the book. I prescribe this book to any individual who enjoys a short spine chiller.

"To good friends and family. "

A pleasant holiday and reunion of Rob and Tex, two ex-Vietnam buddies, turns nightmarish as they are forced to again use their tracking skills. Well written and strange!y intense, this is a very plausible thriller. But, strangely, still there was, at least for this reader, a feeling of waiting for something to happen.

Narration by Tom Lennon was perfect, fitting exactly the mood of the writing and the characters portrayed. An excellent performance, and very enjoyable. I was very fortunate in being freely gifted with a complimentary copy of Butterfly Lake, by the rights holder at my request. Thank you so much. This author is one I will follow with interest and I commend this book to anyone who likes thrillers with a none to graphic presentation but which are still gripping as well as being well written.

Lovely Book.

Beautiful and frequenting simultaneously. The generational occasions that shape Hannah's life cause residual issues on hers. The untruths accepted and told are passed down like hereditary qualities inserted in Hannah's DNA. At the point when her little girl needs clearness at a defining moment in her life Hannah ventures up and uncovers everything regardless of the outcomes so the previous missteps are not returned to on the people to come.
