The Action Continues!

This book continues right where Flame left off-so you absolutely have to read Flame before this one!! There is just as much action in this one as the first one and Gigi's family comes to help because that is what their family does! Gigi still kinda got on my nerves but I love Pike and everything to do with that man!! I loved the fact that this series is building on the original series that we all know and love!

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor do an amazing job with the narration. There aren't any crazy accents and I love Jason Clarke's voice!! So nice to listen to! Now I just need to wait for the next one!

The fiery conclusion to Gigi and Pike's story.

This is the second in the 2 part story telling Gigi and Pike's story. This is a story full of tattooed alpha bikers. They are literally everywhere! Two generations of them. It’s a fast paced story with plenty of action. These two fell hard and fast and I love that although Pike hasn’t had the best role models of love in his childhood, he is fiercely protective and selfless in his love for Gigi. She returns his love and is showing him that family rallies and boy does Pike need them to rally for him. You’re introduced to some of the other kids who will get books later in the series and there’s some funny banter throughout. The heat in these books is just as their titles suggest. Tattoos, ripped muscles, cocky one liners and fiery passion.

There are lots of appearances of the couples from the two previous series but you don’t have to have read those books for these to make sense.

I listened to Flame and Burn (Gigi and Pike's Duet) and I’ve always been a fan of Jason Clarke. His voice is gruff and se*y as hell but, he is able to give you the softer side of Pike too. The emotions are right there for the taking. He serves them up for you to feast on. Samantha Brentmoor is a new narrator for me and let me tell you, what a find she is. Her performance was phenomenal. She has a great raspy voice and her male voices were top notch too. She gives you the emotions by the truck load. These two in combination give you all the heat with ALL the feels and emotions you could ever want. An excellent performance by both and I can’t wait to listen to some more Samantha now that I’ve found her.

I’d definitely recommend these books. You are gonna love these two and their fast paced, action packed, fiery story.

Through hell and back

Pike and Gigi continue their epic story. The danger spikes around these two as Pike comes to the realization that family is, indeed, something he needs and the Gallo's are there to step up. Hang on tight!

Meh

The narration by Jason Clarke was superb. The first book ended on a cliffhanger, but since the second book was already out I didn’t have to wait. I felt that this book was not as good as others by this author. It felt to me almost as if I was in a car driving by each of the relationship milestones and plot twists. However, they were tied together loosely or not at all and I didn’t get a chance to linger. For example, we finally met Pike’s grandma. There was some interaction, then she never appeared again. Then the last part of the book was all a set up for the next book. Not my favorite by this author.

Heating Up

Sebastian who? Jason Clarke’s voice is smooth honey especially as he says all the naughty buts. He brought another level of hotness to Pike. I don’t think I would’ve been able to listen with any other voice. Samantha Brentmoor is a new narrator to me but man she was perfection as Gigi. She gave her extra sass and the enthusiasm in her voice gave Gigi extra character. This was a great combination of narrators and I could picture both of these voices as these characters.

As for the story, Chelle once again wrote a brilliant action packed book. She gives you the right amount of heat, romance and suspense to give you a great story. I love how she weaves a story keeping you intrigued and captivated from the first page to the very beginning and never letting up. And let’s not forget about those Gallo’s. This family that Chelle created is one that everyone wants to be a part of. You get to see City at is alpha best and the rest of the smoking hot Gallo men will make you drool all over again.

Chelle never disappoints and I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Tam has gotten herself into.

Fantastic narration of a great gritty romance

The is part 2 of Gigi and Pike's romance, and it is not all smooth sailing in their road to a happily-ever-after. We've got tattooed bikers galore, falling in love hard and fast and trying to protect their loves. While Pike hasn't had good examples of love to learn from, he's amazing at loving Gigi, just as she is amazing at loving him.

Chelle Bliss has filled this story not only with a lot of drama and action, but also a lot of romance, witty banter, tension and chemistry. Add to that Jason Clarke's ability to combine growly and intense narration with emotion and vulnerability when called for, plus Samantha Brentmoor's emotional and feisty delivery, and you've got an amazing listen.

WTF JUST HAPPENED .... I NEED MORE GIGI AND PIKE

holy shit… what an end to Pike and Gigi's story. They came out with a bang in the first book and now I see why CB needed a second book. It seems that Pike's family is continuing to bring problems to their relationship and let me tell you big daddy Joe is not happy. We pick up where we left off, in Gigi's bedroom with Pike's "dad" knocked out on the floor and that's when the ride takes off. I love that there's constant drama with the Gallo's but they still stick together no matter what. There still the element of danger, a lot of danger but comedic relief to even it out and let me tell you Gigi and Pike are so hot, they make volcanoes erupt. I loved it. Now, what did annoy me was Gigi's cousin Tamera, which bothers be because she's the only character who's half black. I know for a fact and desire her she that her mama would not be having her shenanigans and she was missing from this book. Hopefully we'll see more of Tamera's mom… because Tamera is a hot ass mess.

Good conclusion for Pike and Gigi's story.

This duet was amazing to entertain me in the last couple of days.

Burn pick up exactly where Flame ended and this time, we have more about Pike's family and background.

Again I loved how everyone is so involved in their story and I think I'll stop with this series now, so I can read the original inked guys, because damn it... They're amazing working together!

The pace is also the same and the you feel like watching a movie or a reality show, because there's always diverting happening on their days and nights.

Near the end, it was more like an opening to the next book than about Pike and Gigi, and that bothered me a bit.

Burn

Burn is a romantic suspense and the second book in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series and picks up right where Flame, book one, ended.

Pike and Gigi are back with even more suspense, family drama, and romance than before. As Pike's past catches up with his future, he and Gigi will have to rely on each other more now than ever.

I highly recommend reading Flame first. I loved that we got more Pike in Burn than we did in Flame. Gigi got better in this book and is really starting to resemble Suzy. City, who I loved in the original Men of Inked series, seemed to be a little too much with his overprotectiveness of Gigi. I hope that as this series continues we get more of the old Gallo charm.

Audio … Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor did a great job of bringing Pike, Gigi and their story to life.

Rating … 4 Maple Leafs
Genre/Trope … Romantic Suspense
Point of View … first-person (Pike and Gigi)

Amazing Listen

When I did the first book in this series, I was annoyed with Gigi, thinking she was a spoilt princess. Wanting to get Pike fired just because they had a one night stand. And I thought if they fired him because of that they all suck… lol.. But as the story progressed I really enjoyed the story and didn’t want it to end. But then book 2 came along and I couldn’t get enough of this couple. Glad it picked up right where it left off.

It seemed that trouble just keeps on following poor Pike everywhere. Pike is loyal and passionate and would do anything to protect Gigi. And with Gigi’s sassy and takes no prisoners attitude they were perfect for each other. This story is filled with so much twists and unexpected moments and lots of steamy sessions. I was totally captured from beginning to end. You think you getting a romance story but it ends up being filled with so much more.

The audio narrators were totally spot on. I love Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor. It was so nice just to relax and listen to their voices narrating the story to me😊 ♥

As with this authors previous men of inked series this series will make you fall in love with each character. I cant wait to read the next story… Wildfire… Tamara and Mammoth 😊 ♥

Gigi and Pike!

Just when you think that Gigi and Pike can have their second chance Pike’s past comes back with vengeance which places Gigi in danger and to put it mildly it doesn’t sit well with her overprotective family. Gigi shows her strength and resilience as she isn’t about to let anything come between her and Pike and that includes his past and her family as she knows that they are meant to be together.

If that wasn’t enough to cause turmoil, tragedy strikes and Pike heads back to his hometown with Gigi and they don’t come back alone. As the danger around them escalates so do the feelings between them and Pike proves once again that there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do to protect the woman he loves.

Since Gigi and Pike have reunited, they have endured so much drama, danger and emotional upheavals but there is no doubting that as long as they have each other and those they love that they are unbeatable. The pacing of the narration was perfect as the narrators brought out all the suspense and emotion of the story.

Sucks you in for a really good time!

I am so glad that Pike and Gigi got a duet, because I was not ready to be done with them. There is so much action, drama and love in this second part of their love story that I couldn't put it down. Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor continued to narrate this fun story perfectly. I loved the addition of Tamara and Austin as well as the resolution of the drama with Pike's dad. This book has everything that makes me love romance novels and I highly recommend for a book that sucks you in and give you a good time.

4 Stars

This picks up where Flame left off and goes to 60 in just a few seconds. It was really a fast paced, drama filled, suspenseful read, lighter on the steam than book 1, but all the action made up for it. There are a couple of characters in this I really wanna know their story..and a certain one I'd rather not. But all in all, I really enjoyed this a lot. I volunteered to listen and review a complimentary copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Another great installment, fantastic narration

First and importantly, this book is book 2 in a duet. The couple, Gigi and Pike first meet in the first book of the duet, Flame. I own Flame and it is in my TBR but I had the opportunity to request and receive the audiobook for Burn and I wanted to listen to it because, well, Jason Clarke.

In this story, Gigi and Pike are together now (It sounds like it was an enemies to lovers story from the beginning). Pike has a very difficult childhood (my heart broke for Pike as a child) and it's coming back to haunt him. This book was great because it really focuses on family ties (the good and the bad). It was full of emotion and I adored all the family members from previous and future books. I do think that Gigi and Tamara (the heroine in the next book) were really young and given I'm older, their immaturity was striking to me. However, overall, I liked the characters and the romance proceeded beautifully. The action kept me on the edge of my seat and I really didn't want to stop listening.

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor narrated this book and they were excellent. Jason Clarke is one of my favorite narrators so no surprise there but Samantha Brentmoor held her own. Great narration for a great story.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Gigi💘Pike🔥

I am loving this series, I just binge listened to the first two books “Flame” and “Burn”, they are Gigi Gallo and Pike Moore’s story. I recommend reading and/or listening to both book back to back starting with “Flame” where Gigi and Pike first meet. Gigi and the girls are vacationing during spring break and it turns out to be bike week too. Gigi has her eyes on the hot biker dude at the bar and after a few cocktails decides to go for it. Pike may look like a bad ass biker but he treats Gigi good and does not take advantage of her drunkenness. The two wind up hitting it off and have a hot fling. Fast Forward fifteen months, Gigi graduates college and is ready to start her job at Inked, she and another guy will be starting at the same time. Turns out the other guy is Pike. Well their meeting does not go off so great, but she can not say much since no one knows she was at bike week and she can not say how she knows him. The tension and angst is between them is electric so is the chemistry between them. I love how their story plays out and what it leads up to. When Pike’s past catches up with him, or should I say his corrupt father’s problems catch up to him. The Gallo’s step in and come up with a plan to keep Gigi and Pike safe. The story continues in Burn, but the problems for Pike continues, he earns respect from Gigi’s father and Uncle with how he deals with it, he is just as protective as Gigi as her father is and he finally see that. There is never a dull moment in these books, they are plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, angst, some Gallo humor, some action, thrilling & suspenseful moments as well as heartfelt ones, plenty of hot romance too. Chelle Bliss thank you for these awesome stories.

Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did an amazing job portraying the characters and bringing them to life. They gave each character their own voice and personality, captured their emotions and passion which could be heard in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Such a fantastic book

This was such a fantastic book, plenty of drama to keep me desperate for more, enough heat to melt my earphones. And just the excellence that I have come to expect from Chelle Bliss.

I also loved the way that it had a little teaser for the next book. So now to not so patiently wait for it

Great Listen

I’m really loving this Heatwave spin off and thoroughly enjoyed this instalment.

Burn picks up the story from where Flame ended so for me I would definitely recommend listening to Flame first. This was a fast paced story and kept me hooked throughout. It had plenty of drama and action but I’m really enjoying the humour that Chelle is able to weave throughout the story. It’s a Men of Inked story so family plays a major part and we get to catch up with some old favourites and meet some new characters. I really enjoyed Pike and Gigi’s story. They had smoking hot chemistry and they’re just great together.

I really enjoyed this listen and would happily recommend it.
