Story
Victory comes at a price. Mare Barrow learned this all too well when Cal's betrayal nearly destroyed her. Now determined to protect her heart - and secure freedom for Reds and newbloods like her - Mare resolves to overthrow the kingdom of Norta once and for all...starting with the crown on Maven's head. But no battle is won alone, and before the Reds may rise as one, Mare must side with the boy who broke her heart in order to defeat the boy who almost broke her. Cal's powerful Silver allies, alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard, prove a formidable force.

The ending Marecal deserve!
It gives you the ending missing in War Storm to our fav characters from the series. Plus introduces some new characters with completely new perspectives from the world of red queen which I personally really enjoyed. Definitely a must read if you loved the rest of the series.

Not as great an ending
I was excited to hear this last part of the story as part 4 War Storm ended so abruptly. The first half of this book is really slow moving, telling the story from different character perspectives was not necessary as we had this in the other books, it just seemed a bit like filler, introducing you to characters you didn’t know nor cared about as they did not appear in previous books. The latter half of the book was better, catching up with familiar characters and finishing their various story arks. I have to say, by this book I got really tired of the constant torturous melancholy of Mare and Cal and their inner monologues began to irritate me. I loved this series but this last book was a disappointment. But others my feel differently.
