At the tender age of seven, Jess Riley's parents were ripped out of her life by the Tear, a ripple of white light in the sky which randomly transports people from Earth to alternate realities and distant planets once a year. On the night the Tear first appeared, the Watchers, a mysterious group of men possessing supernatural powers, made their presence known to the leaders of the world, earning their complete trust to deal with the turmoil the Tear caused.

Was really not expecting to be as hooked on this series as much as I am. I couldn’t put it down! I got so invested In The characters and development. The story line is great, even if at times it is a little predictable. I’m absolutely going to binge the next book just as quickly as the first

This story could be an inspiration for people with a troubled past. It explores acceptance for ones emotional scars and gives a sense of being able to live a meaningful life despite this.
