This book absolutely rattled me, in the best possible way!! None of the girlish sentimentality that comes with most stories about young women… don’t get me wrong, there’s a place for that, but this was SUCH a refreshing and unique exploration of womanhood. A new favourite. Thank you so much.

Evocative, powerful, dark, true, misleading, course-correcting. It feels like the protagonist is just out of reach and she’s keeping you there on purpose. Can’t wait to read more of Eliza Clark.

it's not often you can read a book and absolutely love it while hating every single character in it. This is one such book, full of awful people doing awful things, living selfish, shallow lives and basking in the glory of their own ridiculousness. And yet, I loved it.
