I really love Brookmyre’s books, but kept losing my focus on this one, it kept feeling like I was listening to a gruff preachy headmaster, going on and on while I tuned out and stared out the window. The range of characters moved in and out of their story arcs but I just couldn't get interested in any of them. Wrong book at the wrong time perhaps? I’ll still read others he writes though.
