Publisher's Summary

Oz: Escaping the international modeling scene to design my own fashion collection is the first step to shucking my bobble-headed supermodel reputation and proving to the world I'm more than just a pretty face. But the minute I have to accept roadside help from the sexy man next door, I feel like the airhead people think I am. And what's worse, the man clearly doesn't think I'm worth the time of day.

But despite trying to ignore my attraction to the mysterious doctor, I can't help but be drawn to him. With every moment spent together, I begin to realize he's hiding more than just some details of his past. He has one foot out the door.

As soon as I start to feel like everything might be coming together for me, I realize the man I'm falling in love with isn't who I thought he was.

Jake: After three years on the run for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, I've finally found a seemingly safe place to settle in Haven, Colorado. With friends, a job, and a cabin in the woods, I have everything I need to live a simple life without drawing attention to myself. Everything's fine. Fine.

Until I meet my new neighbor. The gorgeous man is anything but subtle and brings color to my life that I didn't know was missing. But I learned years ago that falling in love with someone wasn't an option anymore when simply being seen with me could have dire consequences. It's time for me to run again, but I wonder if it's safe to stick around just long enough for a taste....

Just when I begin to realize Oz is the missing piece to bring me back to life after years of hiding, my past catches up to me and throws everyone around me into danger. I know I should run, but what if it's time to finally stop running and make a stand, once and for all?

While Body and Soul is the third book in the Twist of Fate series, each novel can easily be enjoyed as a standalone.

Be Still My Heart

I think this was my favorite of the books in the collaboration between Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy. The characters were so well written and the story really well developed. There was emotion, drama, angst, and love. Michael Pauley really brought the characters to life and imbued them with real emotion. I loved the story and the narration. Don't miss this one.

Great Characters

I really enjoyed the evolution of the characters. This is just a continuation of a great series. I wish there were other books to follow in this series.

Great book! Just the right amount of everything!

Loved catching up with previous characters from the first 2 books. I enjoyed getting to hear the back story of Jake and Oz was a total sweetheart. I enjoy it when opposites attract and when they come together as 1. Really like the action at the end!

This will not be a good review. Sadly.

I bought this book on Feb. 10, 2019 when I started it and I finished it today Aug 4th, 2020. Why you may ask? Well to put it simply, I hated Oz with a passion. I had a feeling I was not going to connect with this MC when he popped up on Aiden's book but I wanted to give him a chance bc I've been surprised before. I was hoping for a fierce, confident, snarky, no non-sense kinda fashion diva. What I think happened is I got a whiney, unconfident, insecure, mess of a man child who I wanted to Gib slap every time it was his POV. His character fell way flat for me. The only thing that I liked about him were his dog Boo and his friend Zoey. In all honesty I wanted to DNF this book hardcore and started and stopped many, many times. But I was desperate to find out what was going on with Jake. For me this book really started at around chapter 27 or 28. At the start of Bennett and Xander's wedding. (Seriously if you DNF this go to this area of the book find the wedding and read from there it gets way better way faster). Sad to say they could have cut about 15 chapters worth of words from this book and it would have been 100% better. It was mostly just unnecessary dialogue with splatters of statements about how generous Oz is. I was not a fan of this book, would not recommend, will not be rereading. I had so much hope for this book.

All of this heavily surprised me considering anything with Sloane Kennedy has me reading/listening until my body shuts down from exhaustion. I like Lucy Lennox but not all of her books hit that level SK does for me, myself, and I. She is talented though and I reread her Forever Wilde books repeatedly this one just was not it for me.

I'm hoping Lucky's book is way better. Fingers crossed.

love story yes; action/ plot resolution no

Love the love story. very lovable characters. the action scenes were so farfetched, I struggled to focus on the narrative though and so the climax was just hard to get through.

Series keeps getting better...

Thank you for keeping your stories closer to real life than many romance novelists.
This, while a bit more CSI ya than the others, I am too aware of the darker side of Governments.
Thank you for Oz. His side of the story lightened the mood of the book, keeping the storyline balanced, for the most part.

Great listen

Body and soul, packed with emotions and suspense. Best book in the series. Another Michael Pauley outstanding narration job. I love that all the characters are in each book and the family they have built between friends. Worth the credit and your time to listen.

Love this series

I have to say I did not Like how Jake treated Oz through a good portion of this book. But the reviews said the reason would reveal itself...it did!!! I loved Oz from his first words. He so lovable and sweet. It just took Jake time to come to terms with his life. Sorry I can’t say much more. You HAVE to listen to it. The narration is amazing!!!

What can I say...

Except that I loved every second of this narration. I loved this series of books and couldn't wait to hear them and I was most certainly not let down.

Michael was brilliant, how he was able to bring such 2 diverse characters to life was amazing. It was like having Jake and Oz in the room and telling me their story.

My congratulations and thanks to everyone involved.

Winter Love

Michael Pauley is a super narrator, always bringing these stories to life.
I enjoyed reading this book and then a few months later listening.
Lucy and Sloane write well together and I hope there are more books to come.
