About this listen

Can’t find her.

Can’t catch him.

Can’t trust anyone.

The first in a gripping new Sheffield-set crime series starring Detective Claudia Nunn.

Detective Claudia Nunn’s colleague DS Dominic Harrison has been leading the case against a dangerous serial killer, who hunts his victims using a dating app. But now his own wife has gone missing.

Then a large pool of blood is discovered in their garage. And Dominic is the prime suspect.

Is Dominic being framed by a serial killer or will Claudia expose an even uglier truth?

Can’t tell a soul how it ends.

Blood Stained is a dark, twisty and utterly compulsive page-turner that will be devoured by fans of Helen H. Durrant, Rachel Abbott, Angela Marsons and L.J. Ross.

Critic Reviews

"An original take on the classic police procedural, I found it pacy, dark and compelling, and was hooked from the first page to the last." (Jane Isaac)

Disappointing Ending

Good characters and descriptions of events. Weak capture of murderer but still enjoyable. Disappointing ending though. I would have like 2nd murderer to get his comeuppance. (Didn’t use names so as not to spoil it.)

Totally unrealistic

The absurdity of the story line annoyed me, there is not a police department in the world that would allow such a conflict of interest.

Who picks the narrators?

If you can get passed the ridiculous conflict of interest and police officers explaining the basics of policing to other police officers because it’s assumed the listener is stupid then it’s ok. But the female narrator was only one step away from saying “ee by gum” in her attempt at a Yorkshire accent. It was painful. Made worse by the fact that the male narrator’s version of the same bloke had a different accent 🤦‍♀️

Ridiculous conflict of interest

I actually had to fast forward this quite a bit. Some serious overacting from the narrators. I don’t to be too disparaging but it makes no sense. You can tell where the author wants to end up but so much ‘filler’. Sorry
