I was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews I was worried I wasted my money buying the book but I enjoyed the story, the narrators did a good job.

Something about this story just didn't sit well with me. The antagonistic relationship between the characters felt very forced and unnecessary - I suppose we are meant the think its because of the childhood trauma but it doesn't excuse it. I'd describe the relationship as almost abusive until the end when it finally gets more tender and loving. It was a mixed bag. By the time we got to the end I already disliked one of the main characters so much that I'd lost interest in the final outcome. Very well read.

I found it hard to get involved in this story as the voices seemed so monotone, even in the sexy moments. Not sure if this is the way of English accents and overall the read was good background noise while I worked
