Publisher's Summary

After the death of her husband four years ago, Hartley Watson is finally ready to meet someone - and maybe even have a second chance at love. But then, just as her dating life seems to be getting started, Hartley is struck with a horrifying realization: Someone is watching her. Entering her home. Even knows the intimate details of her life. How else to explain the strange deliveries, or the sudden appearance of mementos from her dead spouse - ones that she had kept for so long in storage?

If only Hartley could know for sure whether what is happening to her is real or if her grief is making her lose touch with reality. Those around her aren't convinced that she's being stalked, nor is the wonderful, supportive man Hartley's started dating. The exciting new life she has created for herself is slowly becoming a nightmare... How can Hartley seek protection when nobody believes that she's at risk - and the only one in the world she can trust is herself?

Blind Date...

Any additional comments?

This was my very first book by Bella Jewel and it will not be the last. Narration was great, was not disappointed at all. The only thing I would change was how quick it revealed the stalker/killer in the end. Should have been built up a little bit more. Other than that very enjoyable.

The twist that could’ve been. *SPOILER*

These books are barely a step above Harlequin romance, but I still like them because they’re simple and enjoyable, and I know they’re not meant to be taken seriously. That being said, this was next level predictable. What makes it worse is that there’s an unintentional setup for what would’ve been a much better twist. The reveal in the book: The guy she’s dating is the killer. You can see it coming from the very beginning. The twist that could’ve been: Early in the book the main character goes on a blind date with a guy who seemingly can’t get over his ex. It would’ve been better if he turned out to be the killer and his ex was actually his previous victim.

INTENSE

Bella Jewel has a wonderful way of bringing suspense and romance together, In general i love her style of writing thus far, and have little to fault her on. I was a little disappointed however that i was immediately able to tell who the villain was, early in the story, which i was hoping there might be more of a twist to...but was a little disappointing to find out i was right from the start. All in all its a good book, not her best, but different strokes for different folks. I was pleasantly surprised by the female narrator... It was my first time hearing her, but she animated the story in brilliance... Joe arden however for me was rather rushed in his small narrations that he took part in, which is kind of strange for me, because i generally love his narrations. Oh well... you cant be great all the time i suppose. I would recommend this book.... it did keep me on my toes and i was truly fixed :-)

I think I liked this one best out of the three. This one seems realistic to me and scary the most

Predictable and Repetitious

This book was such a disappointment. The killer was obvious from the get go, so obvious I was waiting for the twist -wish I hadn't bothered. Narration was not good, story line not good ,characters not believable and so much repetition .
