Publisher's Summary

I loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love, blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day. Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It's that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again. Then I meet Liam Beckett, and everything I thought I had protected myself from is shoved back in my face.

Wow

So so loved this book. A second chance love for her and Liam like his Dad knowing instantly that she was the one. Molly with her absolute cuteness and this was a winner. Narration was awesome too.

UNORIGINAL. .UNINSPIRING. .UNEVENTFUL

and again we have a heroin t hat has suffered from some tragic event that has changed her..
supposedly she is sacred to love and be loved. Well so what! that is how much I disliked the heroin. and if she wasn't crying or having inter dialogue about why she she was scared. .there wouldn't be a story. the hero was ok just very pursuant on having the heroin. .don't know why because she was never receptive. I guess the death of her 1st husband was in part the reason..but never got that..
It says a lot about a book if you can skip chapters damn near most of the book and still didn't miss a thing..and again this is because all the heroin musings & inter dialogue. .

in the end of course they got their HEA. . ok now some sarcasm who would have guessed never saw that coming in the end the whole book was about self pity I just couldn't take it I would not recommend this book in my opinion to anyone .

very cute story

i expected this to be a somewhat sad love story with a happy ending and that's exactly what it was. the narrators were great and both did a great job conveying the opposite characters voices.

Holy Bubblegum this book was… EMOTIONAL... SWEET..

Bleeding Love is the second book in the Hope Town series. Each book in the series is a HEA and can be read as a standalone Holy Bubblegum, this book was… EMOTIONAL... SWEET... STEAMY...ICKY STICKY BUBBLEGUM… Liam and Megan’s Story was just what I needed at the time I read. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I can tell you it wasn’t that! Harper’s stories are always amazing, but this was even better. Once I started this book, I had to finish it. My kids wanted to kill me because I kept telling them to sit down. I just need to read one more chapter, one more chapter turn into another and another. Before I knew it, I was finished. I sat there with my kindle in my hand, thinking now I need more it was perfect. “Fuck, I sound like a sappy Lifetime movie.” Liam Megan came in during Dani and Cohen’s story. If you have read it yet, you need to. Anywho, back to Megan. Megan’s husband and Cohen were friends. He died on a mission and never made it back home to his wife and daughter. Now the only person Megan has left is her little bird, Molly. How does one person go through so much and make it out? Does she make it out of her whole with no scars? I guess you will have to read and find out. A love worth having is a love worth fighting for Liam, ah, where do we start with him? First, he is Dee and Beck’s only child. So, of course, he’d have to have a story like his parents. You’ve not read their story? It’s called Beck in the Corps Security Series. You’ll have to read it to understand what I mean. Liam is all alpha male and best friend with Dani. Of course, he would be their mothers are best friends, so they were destined to be as well. Liam is the complete package, loving, understanding, pushy, and he loves with everything in him. “Never, not once in my twenty-three years have I ever felt a connection as strong as strong as I do when I’m with you.” Megan I know some are asking about Molly. She is the sweetest little bird there ever was. You know she kind of reminds me of Cohen when he was younger. Huh, I just thought about that. And just like Cohen, Molly has all these alpha males wrapped around her little finger. They all have “Makeup Overs, Tea Parties, and Dates with her. What more could a girl ask for? She has even more love to give. “Never, not once in my twenty-three years have I ever felt a connection as strong as strong as I do when I’m with you.” Megan Ah! I’m so ready for more! Harper, please tell me you are not going to make me wait too long for more. Hopefully, I get Nate soon. I’m not sure how long I can go without these fantastic characters. I guess I will just have to re-read all my books again, starting with Axel.

Can't stand the female narrator

Hace read the book and LOVE the story. But this audio...I am SO sad the female voice is SO irritating. it is like a 80s valley girl with the last syllable of each word/sentence rising just a bit. Kept waiting for her to say, "Oh my god, gag me with a spoon". Just could NOT listen to it. I think I lasted literally 2 minutes.

Horrible dialog

I'm really into the single parent character type lately, especially when the kid plays a bigger part in the story. But even though this book has that, the dialog was so bad it was a struggle to finish it.

Loved it!

I really enjoyed these characters & their jourmey to their HEA. They had some pretty steamy sexy times! The narration did not always transition smoothly, but it wasn't a deterrent.

Swoon = Liam!

Can I just say I love Liam! He has such a big heart. I loved his persistence. He seen something in Megan and pursued her. Megan was such a broken soul. She has had enough heartache for a life time. I loved how Liam showed her to live again. Loved seeing the relationship unfold.

Loved It!

I loved the moment when Meghan realized that there was a real, true, unconditional love between her and her husband. I also loved how supportive Liam was to her and Molly!

"Sean Crisden's voice is NOT sexy"

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Haper Sloan's storytelling is wonderful.

What did you like best about this story?

The way the story could go from steamy to so unbelievably sweet when the young child was in the scene shows Harper Sloan can definitely write a believable and relatable story.

How could the performance have been better?

A different male narrator.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A better male voice.

Any additional comments?

Sean Crisden's voice is not good for romance. He sounds like a cigarette smoking Dennis Leary. I could not really fall into the book with his voice as the "sexy hunk" -that rasp just didn't cut it and his ability to switch to the female voice made the female character sound whiny and annoying. Not that he isn't a good narrator - I think he should pursue mystery thrillers.

REALLY Good Story - which is why I kept listening and put up with it for the first two books - but it was painful. Looking forward to the next two books even more.
