About this listen

In the 25th century, slavery still grips America, but the foundations of white supremacy face unprecedented threats. Black slaves endure brutal conditions, suffering daily physical beatings and killings. No longer confined to plantations, they live in underground cities under constant surveillance by white guards and an AI guardian program call Sentinel while the white elites live in floating cities all around the country.
Despite these efforts to control them, the Black population continues to grow, and whispers of rebellion spread through the slave quarters. The white elite who live above ground in floating cities, terrified of losing their grip on power, resort to more extreme measures to suppress the burgeoning resistance. However, unbeknownst to them, a coordinated uprising begins to take shape.
As tensions rise, so does violence from the oppressors. The white guards, and Sentinel increase their brutality in an attempt to crush any hint of insurrection before it can gain momentum. Public executions become a grim spectacle meant to instill fear but instead sow seeds of rage among the enslaved. Marcus accelerates his plans as he learns of an impending crackdown designed to eliminate potential leaders like him. On the eve of the uprising, he sends out a final call for action—a signal that echoes through every underground city and galvanizes thousands into open rebellion.
The uprising explodes with ferocity as slaves attack their captors with weapons and stolen arms from one of the army bases that are station at the entrance of the underground city. Marcus leads his city in a violent overthrow, overpowering the guards and seizing control of Sentinel command center on the surface. Other cities follow suit as news of each victory spreads like wildfire, emboldening even more enslaved people to join the fight. The rebellion becomes a nationwide movement that no amount of repression can contain.
