Story
Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia. Fortunately, it was the right name to know. Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald.

A great read for the crazy engineering side (NOT FOR KIDS!!!)
If you read this book Two things will stand out.
1) The story has great application of magic far from the normal lighting blots and fireballs this book give really life to the weaving of magic. It make the book more complicated however it give it sum depth that many book incorporating spell craft are vary noticeably missing.
2) The sex is almost nonstop close to every chapter and sum chapters totally devoted to the subject.
Side note: Not for children!!!

I really love this book however
I am truly not a fan of this narrator while he is OK his female voices are truly grating and his southern accents for characters that are supposed to be smart and reserved are very distracting from the main story. the sad thing is I think he could be a great narator for a different book with less female Leeds or a non fantasy premise.

Male Power Fantasy Romance Novel
So there's this guy, his completely OP and he has a bevvy of ultra hot women around him who all want to have sex with him all the time. He gets woken up with BJs, gets randomly jumped all the time and he can control the physical forms of his harem to make the cat girls and big breasted and gorgeous. I tried to look past the juvenile sex fantasy to see the story, which was kind of interesting, but the gender politics got in the way, but it just wasn't enough. This just feels like a romance novel for adolescent boys. All jiggling boobs and desperate sex slaves. I think the author should work harder to make three dimensional characters instead of vapid sex kittens. a telling moment: on of the only women that the MC isn't having sex with is hideously ugly. in this world, women can't be pretty and non-sexual objects. I don't mind sex in books (though I don't prefer it) I just want the characters to be fully realized. if you want an adolescent romance novel, go for it. the characters are consenting, sexually liberated adults. I do give the author props for thinking about and discussing consent. it's a weird mix, the author is aware of gender politics... that's clear, but he just chose to right a male power fantasy. it is what it is, I guess. also, note that I gave the book 3 stars. the story is kind of cool. I like the concept of figuring out what to do when Ragnarok comes. that's neat, just too many sex kittens.

Awesome from the very beginning
This is the second of the Daniel Black series and it doesn't disappoint, the action starts from chapter one and doesn't end till the last page. Once again the character creation and development is believable, and realistic if the situation was a realistic one. The situations Daniel finds himself in where entertaining and funny specially his face palms. since this is something I do myself. by now I've reread this series multiple times its my personal number one favorite series of the 157 audible books I have read, and I'd recommend this series to any "Adult"! not for young children under any circumstances.
