Black Beauty

Black Beauty is a well thought out book. It is extremely intriguing, and quite happy but not the all of the book is happy which can be good because when the book turned from sad to happy I was thrilled. It feels the the reader is feeling the same emotions. This book is fantastic and I would recommend it to any pony lover

Black Beauty

Same wonderful classic tale that I loved as a child and it is very well read for the moist part though I feel a bit to fast in some parts that seemed to run together. The biggest problem that I had was towards the end of the story the recording skipped in several places and repeated the same sentence more than once. Though this only happened towards the end and on not sure why. Still is a very good story.

Aiiways a Favorite (Has Been, & Will Be!)

Introduced this to a young person who listened with me and LOVED it as I always have! This is an ageless classic and I'm both proud and pleased that it STILL touches young people --- perhaps as much as or moreso than it did me when a wise and wonderful teacher took the time to read a little of the story each day, discussing it and why & how it is relevant yet. Try it, you'll enjoy it and today's younglings STILL LOVE IT! THANK you, Audible!

Loved it!

Such a sweet story! And I loved how the narrator's accent complimented the setting! It gives anyone who listens a compassion for animals, especially those that are mistreated.

Good Story

I read Black Beauty as a child but enjoyed it much more now at 65. It makes one appreciate the life of a horse and what many must endure. We should respect all God’s creatures and aim to show kindness to man and beast alike.

Well satisfied

This was a well narrarated story. The narrator has a clear voice and speaks in a naturally flowing manner which is complimented by slight character agents. The story, a well known classic, is fully recorded and has well separated chapters. All around it was a very satisfying listen and is something I would recommend at least to anyone who hasn't read the book.

Even more enjoyable than when I read it as a child

As a horse crazy girl, I enjoyed this book, but as an adult, I enjoyed more of the social nuances of the story. and feel it is a quite decently written story. And we'll performed.

it is thanks to this book that I have my great love of horses. it is just a wonderful book! and unfortunately the lessons herein still need to be applied in today's society. kindness patients and love go along way with a horse. a heartbreakingly beautiful read!

Good! One chapter unedited!

Enjoyable, old fashioned but charming reader! But someone forgot to edit chapter 44! Most odd.

I felt that the narration of this book was poor and a little depressing for a story that in places is also very sad.

Desperately needs post-edting

Any additional comments?

Part 3 Chapter 24 needs post-editing - it has all of Batchelor's mistakes still in it!
