Caught up in a deadly situation in busy London street, wolf shifter Nathan Kohl bites a running rival pack member only to find he’s accidentally attacked a human by mistake. Jared Taylor’s world is turned upside down in a moment. One minute he is chasing a thief who stole his wallet, the next minute he is savagely bitten on the neck and starts to exhibit shifter traits. Nathan cajoles an outraged Jared into keeping quiet about the bite and demands that Jared keep himself hidden until the next full moon. Meanwhile, the two form a love bond which may or may not last after the next full moon.

I had no expectations about this shifter romance but I enjoyed it a lot! It’s classic urban fantasy, set in modern times with packs that patrol different suburban areas of London. There is a lot of personal growth in these two characters. While initially incredibly selfish in his treatment and expectations of Jared, Nathan does grow to value and care for Jared, eventually putting Jared’s needs before his own. Jared has had a bad experience with a previous shifter but is able to set those aside as his love for Nathan grows. 🎧 UK voice artist Antony Ferguson gives a smooth and polished performance on the audio.
