Birlibán je malý kluk, kterému se dějí podivné věci a zažívá podivná dobrodružství. Kdo z vás se například dostal do Bonbónovic, Neposluch nebo do Lenošindy? Birlibán rozhodně není vzorný, naopak dost zlobí, ale není zlý. Svého maňáska, zajíčka Janečka, chrání před mlsnou liškou a na svém putování objeví i další nové kamarády. Nakonec i zjistí, které věci by mohl dělat jinak. Učí děti, že by měly dojídat snídani, že lenost je velmi hloupá vlastnost a že do hraček se nekope. Birlibán patří ke klasice české dětské literatury, vyšla v mnoha vydáních a v překladech do cizích jazyků, na její motivy vznikl i několikadílný televizní seriál.
